September Favourites ’19

happy good vibes GIF by Caro Martini

How are we now in October? My favourite month whizzed by so damn quickly and I didn’t get much chance to see or enjoy it. I did really love September though, it was a month of going out and doing things, as well as staying in and spending time with Dane, which I’ve really loved.

September was also a bit meh and I received some crappy news, including the Japanese language course I enrolled to being cancelled last minute (I got my money back FYI), I found out I can’t get anything to help with my anxiety on flights and I found out I have the first potential signs of cavities in my teeth. People who know me know how much I love my teeth. I’m using some special toothpaste now that may help to reverse this and I really hope it does.

So yeah… September wasn’t the best, sadly. 😦

I’m glad we’re in October now as I’m excited for so many things this month! Halloween, the Pokemon Center having a pop up shop in London, a week off with Dane and even some days off to relax. It’ll be a lovely month to chill and start enjoying autumn.

Anyhoo, enough of me rambling, here are my favourites from September!

  • Philosophy Amazing Grace Eau de Toilette.

I love this EDT so much from Philosophy and I’ve owned it for what feels like forever! My mom gifted me this whilst I still lived at home as she received it in a set and didn’t want to use it herself. It’s a gorgeous soft scent and isn’t like anything else I own. I use this daily for work as it’s my go to right now, but once a week I’ll change it up for something else. It’s just perfect and the scent isn’t too strong either so if I don’t want anything heavy, this perfect.

  • LISTERINE® Total Care Mouthwash.

Since my dentist breaking the news about my teeth that I mentioned earlier, I was recommended to mouthwash after meals, which I do after every meal right now. If I don’t, I used chewing gum instead. I bought some little miniature bottles so that I could carry these around, take to work and even think about taking on holiday in the future. I also have some Colgate mouthwash too, but I love the LISTERINE one more! I plan to pick up a big bottle of this in the future and I can fill up the little bottles. This mouthwash really does leave my mouth feeling clean and fresh, which I love! The Colgate one doesn’t do that.

  • Burt’s Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream.

I’ve owned this since the start of 2019, as I planned to use it loads to help my cuticles go lovely and soft. However, it was only from the start of September that I began to use it properly! When I cut my nails and paint them, I decide to use it all over my hands, as well as my cuticles to help my eczema. It’s been really bad lately with the change of weather but the cuticle cream really is helping. 🙂 It smells gorgeous too!

  • Tangle Teezer Aqua Splash.

I picked this up towards the end of September and it’s by far one of the best things I have bought in 2019! I love the Tangle Teezer brushes and discovered them last year and since then I am so grateful that I finally gave them a go. I decided I wanted to give the wet version a go, but I wanted to try and pick up the old version as it looked good. Since buying this drying my hair after washing it has already become so much easier! When I brush my hair in the shower after washing, I feel like I’m brushing away loads of excess water, as well as smoothing is ready to be brushed and dried after. It really is a pleasure to use! I picked mine up from TK Maxx for £7.99, which I thought was a decent price.

  • Yankee Candle Snowflake Cookie.

This was a brand new candle at the start of September, one that Dane had bought me years before and that I have only just started to burn! I love burning candles, especially during the colder months so when September started, I knew I had to start getting my candles going again! I decided to start burning Snowflake Cookie as it was one of the few large Yankee Candle jars that just appealed to me. Christmas scents from Yankee Candle are my favourite, so I make sure to burn them all year around!

So now my beauty favourites are done, time to talk about the miscellaneous favourites of the month!

Favourite TV Show – 13 Reasons Why Season 3.

I binge watched this at the end of the month (mostly as I worked through my October newsletter, this post and even my October wish list post) and I LOVED it so much. I worried that this would make me think, “Oh God they’ve ruined it even more!” after how bad season 2 was. To be fair, nothing could top season 1… So when season 2 came out I wasn’t expecting much. It felt like they were constantly bashing Hannah and it was boring. However, season 3 has really brought it back and I loved it! I don’t want to talk too much about it in case of spoilers, but something has happened to Bryce and everyone is trying to find out what and how, all whilst trying to keep their shit together. It’s crazy! The show (as it does) covers a lot of serious topics that are good to be spoken about and it’s good. If you’re yet to watch season 3, then get to it! If you’ve never watched 13 Reasons Why then I recommend it, but be careful if you have mental health issues like I do. Season 1 was good, but some of the topics were upsetting, especially as suicide is a massive factor.

Favourite Movie – Detective Pikachu.

I know this was mentioned on my monthly favourites back in May but I have to mention it again 4 months later as this film is now out and I made sure to pre-order it ready for when it came out. The day it came out me and Dane played games instead of watching, but the day after I cooked us a yummy dinner and we sat down to watch the movie as we chilled out. It was just as good as I remember it being in the cinema and we even watched all the extras too, which were decent but sadly not as good as I feel they could have been. I don’t know about you guys, but I don’t feel that extras and behind the scenes stuff on DVD’s/Blu-rays are as good as they used to be…

Favourite Book – Erm…

Yeah I didn’t read throughout September. Which sucks to be fair. I read so much in August and then September came and I read sweet FA. I either didn’t have time due to busy, or I didn’t want to as I was playing games instead. I’m terrible for reading manga these days and due to that I do feel sad. I still have Elfen Lied to start reading again, as well as catching up with Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid and Himouto! Umaru-chan. I know I’ll catch up with reading… I honestly will! I’d take manga to work but I like to play Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp and do blog work on my break.

Favourite Album – My Chemical Romance – The Black Parade.

I loved this album back in the day when it came out and I remember buying it from HMV as I had some gift vouchers I needed to use. I loved it and listened to it all the time… Even if my friends at the time hated it. I made some friends through this band, one of them who is now my best friend. One of the best live performances I’ve seen was MCR when they toured for this album. They played the set in the order of the album, it was amazing and I adored it. I’ve started using Spotify at work so I have my music on that I want to listen to, without annoying YouTube adverts coming up every 5 minutes. So I decided to add loads of my favourite albums, including this one. This album just has so many memories behind it and I love it.

Favourite Game – Borderlands 3 and Untitled Goose Game.

I couldn’t just mention one of the other of these games this month. Both deserved a spot on here!

First of all, I LOVE the gif I chose to use for Borderlands 3 because these two characters (Zane and Amara) are the two that me and Dane play when we play together. The day the game came out, me and Dane both booked it off so we could play together and relax. It was awesome! The whole weekend we pretty much played this game nonstop! This has got to be the first time I have played a first person shooter game without dying constantly (like seriously every 5 minutes!) and rage quitting. I love this game, it’s hilarious and fun to play with people. I’ve not been playing it much the past week as I’ve been busy chilling out, or playing other games instead. I never played the previous 2 Borderlands games but that doesn’t matter anyway! Honestly, go and pick this game up. 🙂

I wrote in September how excited I was for certain games to come out (which you can read here), with Untitled Goose Game being number one on that list, as it was coming out the soonest. I got home from work and downloaded it to play. Everyone was mad for this game when it came out and so was I! Both me and Dane played this game together and it was absolutely hilarious to play! We still have some bonus stuff to do, even after “completing” the game, which is proving to be so much fun. Honestly, if you own a Nintendo Switch or a Steam account, definitely download and play. Some people said to me that they don’t see what’s the point of this game before it came out. Those people clearly don’t know how to open their minds to new things. 😛

So those are all my favourites for September! September did indeed go by in a blur and I can’t believe we’re in October now. Before we know it, it’ll be December and Christmas will be upon us. It’s crazy!

How were your September’s for you? What were your favourites throughout the month and overall how was it? Please let me know in the comments down below.

Until next time, take care all and I hope you’re having a lovely week so far!

10 Basic Confessions Tag

basic pug GIF

Image taken from GIPHY

Damn I’ve not long got home from work and I AM SOAKED! I get soaked running to my car and then soaked running from my car to the front door. Urgh, why did I forget my umbrella this morning? Well, I won’t tomorrow, that’s for sure. 😛

This must be the first post of the month (apart from my monthly posts) that hasn’t been Christmassy! Shock horror. 😛

Sarah over at Raiin Monkey tagged me a few days ago to take part in the 10 basic confessions tag. Last week I had a break from blogging, even though I had loads of blog related work up and ready as I’d spent the weekend before last just power writing and getting stuff up and ready.

That break was definitely needed! This week however, I am super busy with work so blogging is something I am trying to do, but my brain isn’t quite ready for it after a long hard day. I am trying though. So of course when Sarah tagged me to do this I just JUMPED at the chance!

The older I get the more I think I’m becoming less of a basic bitch, but I don’t know… I could still be a bit of a basic bitch to be honest with you! 😛

I love how this tag is something a little different and hey, there is NOTHING wrong with being a basic bitch! 😛

 Holo

I’ve loved holographic stuff for years, before it became a trend to be honest but this is due to my love of Japanese fashion and other things. Growing up holographic stuff just stole my heart so the fact it’s a massive trend now makes me happy and even takes me back to the 00’s when I was a teenager. I love a good holographic nail polish lately, as well as stationary.

Wearing Vans with trainer socks

I don’t know if this is a basic thing, but I feel like it’s hipster and that still counts to me! 😛 Since the summer I’ve found myself wearing trainer socks with Vans and although I love it, I used to take the piss out of teenage girls and men who did it! I usually wear them with leggings as well, which I think makes me even worse. It’s just so comfortable to be honest and Primark offer a HUGE collection of different trainer socks to choose from! My favourite ones to buy and wear are always Pusheen.

coffee pouring GIF

Starbucks

I love coffee, I really do. I grew up with my parents drinking coffee like it’s water. I also worked in Costa for two years so I like to think I know a bit about coffee too. Whilst I do still enjoy venturing into Costa and independent coffee shops, Starbucks is always going to be the basic bitches favourite place to venture to. I do really like Starbucks myself to be honest and whenever I’m out with my best friend Gabriella we go in there for caramel macchiato’s. 😛 Also it’s the only place I find that does mint hot chocolate all year around, which in turn makes me happy.

Loving the sick (and rude!) memes

I’m such a sucker for memes and the more they create, the more into them I become! I feel like Facebook is just home to memes, cute animals and food videos that encourage you to cook and gain weight. I’m a definite lover of rude memes though and one page I love for this is Lush Dolly Memes over on Instagram. I love her posts and I think I’ve pretty much liked them all since the page started. 😛 Go and check it out if you’re rude and crude like I am and then come back and tell me how damn funny their posts are.

Burning candles

I don’t know what it is, but during the summer months I’m not arsed about burning candles, but throughout the cold winter months the candles are lit daily in my house! Yankee Candles are my choice nine times out of ten to be honest, with Woodwick Candles being a close second. I just love scented candles so much, they add a lovely scent to the home, especially if you have guests. I currently have Cherries On Snow by Yankee Candle burning and I do really love it.

Table books

I do rather love books you can have in your living room either on/under your coffee table or on the shelf. People’s reactions to certain books is always good, whether it’s a comical book or about something you’re interested in. When I was a student I used to love going into places like Urban Outfitters and looking at the various different books they sell in there. I have all sorts of books myself now including books about The Book of Mormon, Persona 5, Pewdiepie, Deadpool etc. Table books are great and I recommend them for everyone!

Mermaid leggings

These are definitely a basic bitch item BUT at least I buy mermaid leggings by the brand that kick started it all, Black Milk Clothing! I have almost a handful of different coloured mermaid leggings now and I love them all so damn much. Unicorns and mermaids are so basic bitch things it’s a joke! I’m not a mermaid or unicorn person really, but mermaid leggings I’m definitely a sucker for. 😛

Fairy lights

I LOVE fairy lights so much! Not long after me and Dane got together I bought some battery operated ones and wrapped them around my bed. I loved having them on late at night whilst I read books before bed. Since moving into the house we now have some colourful fairy lights (well our Christmas lights actually…) around the stairs and some fairy lights behind our sofa in the living room, which we’ve wrapped around some of the artwork we have framed and hanging up. Yeah they’re basic bitch lights, but I love them anyway! I’m actually hoping i have some more for Christmas to hang behind the bed.

Sex and The City

Apparently this is a basic bitch thing… I had to Google what classes as being basic as at this point in the tag I DO NOT HAVE A CLUE! Apparently owning the box set of Sex and The City is basic. I don’t personally think this but meh. I watch every single season and even the films of Sex and The City, in order at least ONCE A YEAR WITHOUT DELAY. Honestly, not even joking. Sometimes I just get the urge to watch it from start to finish and it makes me so happy. Now I’m talking about it, I feel like I really need to watch it again!

I genuinely don’t think I’m a basic bitch

Of course this would be something a basic bitch would say, but I genuinely don’t think I am. I just like things that this young basic bitches discovered 10-15 years later! I’m 29 soon and have been watching Sex and The City since I was 16… Sex and The City isn’t a basic bitch thing, it’s a necessity for all women out there! Mermaid leggings are just amazing and so damn comfortable. Who doesn’t love scented candles? Man I could go on. 😛

So I have come to the end of this tag post! It was something different to do, but I have realised from taking part in it that I am definitely not a basic girl. 😛

I want everyone who reads this blog post to take part in the tag and make sure to link back to me when you’ve written. I want to see what basic things you are as well. xD

Again, I want to say a MASSIVE thank you to Sarah for tagging me to take part in this post!

Until next time all, take care. IT’S ONE WEEK UNTIL CHRISTMAS! 😀

My Boxing Day Sales Buys

Christmas and New Year have both now come and gone and with that shops everywhere held their Boxing Day sales and now their January sales! I am now officially skint until next pay day and this isn’t just due to sales shopping, it’s due to bills AKA adulting. 😛

On Christmas Day and Boxing Day however, I did pick up a few little bits as I’d been after them for ages! I also picked up some goodies on my birthday when me and Dane went to town for the day. Like my what I got for Christmas post (which you can read here) I thought I’d show off what I managed to pick up in the sales too!

I hope you enjoy this post, I love nosing at what bargains people pick up!

The first things I picked up in the sales and these were both WELL BEFORE Christmas was two games!

The first one being Sims 4 Cats & Dogs on the PC. Me and Dane love playing Sims 4 and like in reality, we were craving a puppy/dog for our family to play with! So we decided to get one and although I haven’t had chance to play loads with the game, we have our puppy and we love it! The editing system for the game with the pets is amazing and I cannot wait to play more of it. The game should have cost £34.00 but I picked it up for £24.49. Not cheap, no but it’ll bring hours of game play for us both!

The second game I bought was one I actually asked for for Christmas and have been eagerly waiting for to see in the sales for quite some time, that being Persona 4: Dancing All Night on my PS Vita. It originally costs £34.99 but I snapped it up for just £6.49!!! I’m so chuffed I got it so cheap and was playing it Christmas Eve. My only issue with it so far is that the story mode has more story than actual game play, which is sort of annoying… I want to get my dance on! As well, not long after I bought this Atlus announced a dance game for both Persona 3 and Persona 5!!! AHHHH!!!! I cannot wait, I already apologise in advance for all the Persona spam I will be throwing around my blog this year.

The first thing I ordered in the sale was this oversized Kurt Cobain sweatshirt, which I’ve been lusting after since I first saw it in Fuerteventura back in September/October. Time and time again I’ve gone to order it, but always changed my mind last minute. Well, I’m glad I waited as I really did get this for a bargain! Originally £29.99, I got it for £12.99 and now it’s sold out! 😀 As readers of my blog will know, I’m a massive Nirvana fan so this is a must have item for me. It’s more of a casual dress so I’ll wear this with thick tights or leggings. Maybe even some mermaid print leggings. 😛 I think the one I was sent is a bit of a dodgy piece though, as I’ve shown in the pictures the print hasn’t been put on the front properly. My only concern is there isn’t any care instruction tag inside and I’m sure by law they’re supposed to have one? To be honest  I don’t care though considering how much I paid, but I would be pissed of I’d have paid the full price for it!

The second thing I picked up is another dress and again, one I’d been lusting after a while both for work and for casual weekend wear! This is another thing I’d wondered whether to order or not as the price dropped but then stayed that way for ages. It still hasn’t changed to be honest at the time of writing this, but when I got a special Boxing Day voucher, it saved me £6.60! Originally the dress was £41.99, went down to £32.99 and I picked it up for £26.39! BARGAIN! I worried about the sizing and went for the size which I thought would be for the best and it does fit really nice… BUT 1. It’s rather short which I think will be a worry when wearing it around the office and 2. With a normal bra on it doesn’t look quite right due to the fishnet showing everything off. With a bra it’s so comfortable to wear but I can’t go braless! I’d feel naked without wearing one! We shall see how it works out. 😛

This is actually something Dane ordered for me as part of my birthday present, but considering it was in the sale, I thought I’d give it a mention. It’s a Yankee Candle and it’s a Christmas one, Macaron Treats. My friend Sophie bought me a little jar of this last year for Christmas/my birthday and we only recently finished it. This was a bit of a surprise to me and it’s nice that he ordered it for me. On Boxing Day I did actually pop into my local Boots to have a nose at what I could pick up and they had a couple of these left. I didn’t buy one though as we have enough Yankee Candles to last us years! Alas, if Dane wants to buy me a Yankee Candle though, I wouldn’t say no. 😛 This was originally £23.99 and Dane snagged it for £11.99! Boots did good with their Yankee Candle prices this year, considering Yankee Candle are charging the same price for a medium jar, this one he bought is a large jar!

Finally we have my last Boxing Day sale purchases and I’m surprised I managed to get them really. As many people will know Lush didn’t have an online sale this Boxing Day and I for one was gutted and pissed off (if you would like me to do a massive rant on my thoughts on Lush lately, let me know!!!) about that. When Dane asked if I wanted to go sales shopping the day after Boxing Day, I jumped at the chance! It wasn’t the first shop we ventured into but Lush was definitely a shop I wanted to look in. They hardly had any Christmas stock left apart from some naked body lotions, naked lip products and finally Santa’s Christmas shower creams, which is what I picked up. This was one of the items I was really hoping they’d have left as it was the number one thing I wanted to try this Christmas! I’d smelt it in stores weeks prior and fell in love, but resisted the urge to buy it due to the upcoming sales. I’m glad I waited now as I picked up 2 for the price of one! These weren’t cheap either at £17.95 a bottle so I’m glad I got them half price instead.

It’s been 2 weeks since I actually drafted this post and since then I have picked up a couple more sales items, which isn’t anything special but I felt like it deserved to be added here!

I was after some new bras and on my birthday me and Dane popped into town for the day for a look around the shops and for some food. One of the first shops we went into was Victoria’s Secret and I’m so glad I did as I managed to pick up not 1, not 2 but 3 bras and all for £14.00 each! I tried them all on too to make sure they fit okay and they were perfect. I can’t wait to wear them now to be honest, I’ve missed wearing a good fitting bra. 😛

Overall I am really happy with my sales goodies and I’m also glad I was good and only bought a handful of items. I looked loads online and found shit loads of stuff I wanted to buy, but left it as I either wasn’t sure, had stuff similar or the main factor, I wanted to save my money.

If there is anything I regret not getting it’s a Pandora ring I saw in the sale, but it sold out so fast I never stood a chance.

What did you guys pick up in the sales? Make sure to let me know in the comments and link me to blog posts!

Until next time, take care all and I hope you’re having an awesome New Year so far! 😀

Fall for this Autumnal Home Décor

So, before I begin, I should probably introduce myself. I’m Hayley, a professional freelance Copywriter and Content Writer who absolutely loves blogging (and home décor, as you’ll soon find out)! Therefore, when I came across Nat’s tweet explaining that she needs guest bloggers to fill in for her whilst she’s on holiday, I jumped at the opportunity. I enjoyed reading her clothing wish lists, so decided to do something similar for homeware, because who doesn’t love a fancy cushion or two? Just me? Anyway, I’ll stop rambling now and get into the post:

*

Whilst I’m going to miss the warmer weather and bright evenings, we’re now officially on the second day of Autumn, so it’s time to embrace the new season with open arms. The beautiful orange leaves, the cosy clothes, and copious amounts of hot chocolate definitely make it easier to say goodbye to Summer (plus, it’s almost Hallowe’en).

Now, I don’t know about you, but I’m a bit of a home decoration enthusiast – any opportunity to give my home a fresh, new look is welcomed in my books. I always think that changing seasons are perfect times to add little pieces that reflect the weather, either through using different colours, patterns, or even textures. The best part about this is you certainly don’t have to break the bank to do it!

Before I began writing this post, I got thinking about what I associate with the season because it’s always useful to have a ‘theme’ which will ensure that all the pieces look good together. I’ve compiled a little list below which helped me to find the items I included, so, should you want to look for more yourself, you’ll have something to refer to:

– Rustic wood
– ‘Earthy’ tones (think burnt orange, brown, mustard yellow)
– Leaf patterns
– Rough textures

So, let’s take a look at some pieces you’ll fall for this Autumn (get it… fall? Okay, sorry).

Yankee Candle in ‘Brilliant Autumn’

How much more perfect could the name of this candle be? It’s a must for any Autumn lover who wants to bring a little bit of the woodlands indoors. To me, there’s nothing cosier than having some beautiful smelling candles burning on the coffee table whilst you relax on the weekend! Plus, it’s a gorgeous orange colour that will complement the other items in this list (any other home décor enthusiasts will agree that this is very important).

Item: Large Yankee Candle (Brilliant Autumn)
Shop: Fragrance Direct
Price: £14.50

Cosy blanket

When updating your home décor, you can’t go wrong with a big, fluffy blanket. The neutral ‘mink’ tone of this one from Wilko means that you can mix ‘n’ match it with a range of different colour schemes throughout the year (because, let’s be real, the UK is chilly around 80% of the time). I personally love the soft ‘waffle’ texture on this as it prevents the blanket from being too plain, but it won’t clash with other patterns!

Item: Waffle Throw (Mink)
Shop: Wilko
Price: £16

Burnt orange cushions (bonus points if they incorporate a tartan pattern)

Dunelm are currently selling these statement tartan cushions in a perfect earthy, burnt orange shade (though they do offer lots of other colours if you’d prefer to mix it up). The tweed texture also gives it a lovely rustic feel that provides your home with instant cosy-factor fit for a pub in the countryside. Cushions are a great way to instantly change the colour scheme in your living room as they’re much larger than some of the other items on this list, but still relatively inexpensive!

Item: Tweed Woven Cushion (Terracotta/Orange)
Shop: Dunelm
Price: £14

Wicker hearts (or any shape you want)

Sometimes, just having random little knick-knacks in your house can make it feel more like a home. You can grab this set of three wicker hearts for under £10 on Amazon* (bargain!), and have them delivered next day if you’re a Prime member. The adorable gingham ribbon and rustic wood texture also give it a little extra bit of detail that screams ‘Autumn’.

Item: Large Rustic Wicker Heart Decorations
Shop: Amazon
Price: £9*

Cute Mugs

Whilst these are more functional items than decorative ones, they still make the list, because what else are you going to drink hot chocolate from whilst you sit in your newly-decorated living room? I’m a sucker for anything with a cute animal design plastered on it, so I just had to include these Fairmont & Main bone china mugs from Amazon. I love how autumnal the design is, from the range of beautiful colours, right down the leaf print. Ahh, let’s get the kettle on!

Image taken from amazon.co.uk

Item: Fairmont & Main Bone China Mug (Orange)
Shop: Amazon
Price: £4.99

So, there you go – updating your living room on a budget is easy (and fun)! What will you be adding to your home this Autumn? Let us know!

It’s made me so excited for when I come back from Fuerteventura to have a mooch around the shops for some lovely autumn editions to add into our home this year!

Christmas ’16 Wish List

Ahh Christmas is just 20 something days away and it’ll be here before we know it! I pretty much have most of my Christmas present shopping done now which is great BUT what do I want for Christmas? Let me just add that this list was pretty damn hard to do as this year I found that I didn’t want all that much… I wanted a lot of make up if anything (Jeffree Star, Kat Von D and Korean beauty mostly!) so I didn’t want my list to be full of those things. Check out my wish list to find out what I decided to put on my list to Father Christmas. 😉

  • South Park: The Fractured But Whole The Coon Figurine – £11.99 (link)

If regular and old readers haven’t realised by now how much of a South Park fan both myself and Dane are then what the hell have you NOT been reading? We love South Park and I especially love the video games. I have 100% completed The Stick Of Truth and I’m eagerly awaiting the next game, The Fractured But Whole. I’m currently collecting the figures from the first game and of course I couldn’t NOT collect the ones from the second. Not only that but for Halloween in 2015 me and Dane both dressed as South Park characters, Dane as Mysterion and me as The Coon. So getting this would mean an awful lot to me. Although me and Dane have discussed about getting the bundle of these figures, which you can check out here.

  • Pokemon Pikachu Molded Mug – £15.00 (link)

Dane actually showed me this mug about a month ago when he was looking for some Christmas and birthday present ideas for me and I shrugged it off and said, “Meh we don’t need anymore mugs in the house.” BUT after a lot of thought I changed my mind and said how it would make a lovely edition, due to how unique it is. That and it reminded me of a Pikachu mug I made in art/pottery class well over 10 years ago when I was at school. It was awful but I loved that mug and used it as a pencil pot instead. So it would be lovely to use this in the cold mornings before work.

  • Pokemon Center Mew MokoMoko Plush – £28.99 (link)

Another Pokemon item! This time it’s Mew. I love Mew just as much as I love the Eeveelutions and sadly although my Eevee plushie collection is building up nicely, my Mew one remains small with me only owning one plush… Sad times. I’m hoping to change this next year however and what better way to start that than with this beautiful and soft looking Mew plushie! Of course from the Pokemon Center in Japan. It looks so soft and fluffy but sadly it isn’t cheap and I would have to wonder how big this must be to be at such a high price.

  • ColourPop x Hello Kitty Lippie Stix in shade Let’s Play – $5.00 (link)

Ew I said I wouldn’t add make up to this Christmas wish list but urgh I have to add something! One item won’t hurt, surely??? When I found out that ColourPop were going to have a Hello Kitty collection I went a little bit ape shit but said I wouldn’t buy anything due to the expensive shipping prices. However thanks to sellers on eBay it doesn’t cost as much as it would do to order from over the pond. I really love Let’s Play as it’s a gorgeous cranberry red with pink shimmer throughout. Perfect for the Christmas and winter season to wear to parties, at work and for shopping trips. I might end up treating myself to this on payday next week instead though. 😛

  • CraftyFoxCollective Iridescent Metal Effect Purple Quartz Crystal Pendant Black Leather Cord Necklace – £5.25 (link)

I’m not much of a jewellery wearer for many reasons, my main one due to work but I would love to start wearing necklaces I have always wanted to. I wear my one choker quite a lot and bought a thick velvet choker a few months back to wear (even though I hate it…) so I want to start buying more. This is a necklace I really like the look of and it doesn’t even cost that much! I saw some like this when I went down to London last month and I regret not buying it! Rainbow crystals like this one just make me happy to look at, so I would love something like this to wear all the time. They’re pretty easy to find on Etsy, but this was my favourite of the bunch.

  • Yankee Candle Cherries On Show Large Jar – £21.99 (link)

OMG when I saw this in a couple of Yankee Candle shops I was so damn happy! Sadly it isn’t on the official UK website… Why? I don’t have a clue! This was a permanent scent for Christmas years and years ago but after two years it was discontinued so when I saw it was back I got super excited and have told loads of people that I want it. QVC have them on a special offer at the moment, so I may try and persuade someone to get one or two for me whilst they’re around. 😛 This is one of my favourite Yankee Candle scents so I would love to have it back in my life again. 😛

  • Black Milk Clothing For Fox Sake Grey Toasties – $80.00 AUD (link) and For Fox Sake Cap Sleeve Skater Dress – $90.00 AUD (link)

I LOVE Black Milk Clothing and I search at least two or three times a week for items I can pick up second hand on eBay, so when I watched their latest YouTube revealing their Christmas collection this year I got super excited. They have not just one but TWO fox themed pieces this year which look adorable! Of course there are the pictures above of the two pieces of clothing, leggings and a dress. The leggings are my favourite of the two at the moment due to them being toasties, which means they’ll keep your legs lovely and warm when it’s cold outside. Could definitely do with those for Christmas! I’d wear them for New Years as well as my birthday. The dress is Dane’s favourite of the two and I do get why. It would be lovely to team up with a burgundy cardigan, some tights, boots and a big coat for Christmas parties, as well as for Christmas day. I doubt I will get either of these for Christmas as they are hella expensive, but I’ll keep hopeful for them… Or at least one of them. 😛

So that is my Christmas wish list for this year! What items do you have on your lists?

Throughout the Christmas period I will be writing a couple of gift idea posts including Final Fantasy for definite, possibly Christmas jumpers, as well as many many more!

What posts would you like to see though throughout December? Make sure to let me  know in the comments down below! I know I’ve been really quiet recently due to me being super busy with work and the house, but I’ll be trying to write plenty of posts throughout December.

I hope all my readers are well and until next time, take care all!

September ’16 Wish List

Gosh I really struggled to get this wish list put together this month and I really don’t know why! I did feel like I was lusting after more things coming up to September but alas that doesn’t appear to be the case.

I managed to scrape a list together mind and I can actually see September being a very naughty month for me… I would have included the Kat Von D items I’m hoping to pick up from Debenhams mid September but I want to have a separate post for that.

But for now here is my wish list for September, woohoo!

 photo September 2016 Wish List_zpswkbnq9hz.jpg

  • Beauty Bakerie Matte Lip Whip in She’s Just Jelly – £15.95 (link)

As regular readers of my blog will know I love wearing lipsticks and especially liquid lipsticks. Although I love my Jeffree Star Cosmetics liquid lipsticks I am always open to trying other brands. I have heard nothing but great things about Beauty Bakerie and would love to give their matte lip whips a go! I’ve had my eye on She’s Just Jelly which is a lovely dark purple shade, which will be perfect for autumn and winter.

  • Oh K! Cherry Blossom Hand Cream – £6.50 (link)

I’ve heard quite a bit about Oh K! recently from various bloggers and it looks like such an adorable brand, very kawaii! I have wanted something from the range for quite a while now but I hadn’t quite seen anything I liked the look of until now. I love hand cream and can never get enough of it, I put this down to my eczema… But how adorable is the packaging for this hand cream??? It’s an adorable panda and I would make sure to keep reusing the pot after using the hand cream up. Plus it has a cherry blossom scent, can’t get any better than that eh? I’ll be keeping my eye on this and picking it up when I need a treat.

  • Blink-182 California Album – £4.99 (link)

I have listened to this album already… Many times in fact and I love it so much! I haven’t listened to an album like this for a long time where I just want to keep listening to it, so I’m really pleased about that as you may have guessed. The band just seem better off without Tom DeLonge and instead with Matt Skiba. I always preferred +44 because their music just wasn’t kiddy and silly all the time. If you loved +44 like I did then you will love Blink-182 now Tom has gone!  I don’t know if I’ll buy this as a CD, instead I might just pick it up on iTunes. I can’t believe how cheap CD’s are now!

  • Soft Kitty Clothing Pastel Pika Dress – £17.00 (link)

I’m a sucker for lycra clothing, usually Black Milk Clothing but 1. they’re super expensive and 2. they haven’t yet released a Pokemon collection. I recently discovered Soft Kitty Clothing through a seller on Depop and decided to check out the clothing on their website for myself. Well there really are some little gems on there, including this dress. I’m a massive Pokemon nerd so this dress is really up my street, and at £17.00 it’s a complete bargain too. I don’t know if I’ll ever buy this to be honest as whilst I am brave enough to wear all sorts out and about, I don’t know if I would be able to feel confident in this dress… I guess teamed up with some nice shoes and a cool jacket I could pull it off… We shall see. I would love if they made an Eeveelutions or Mew dress.

  • Elizavecca Milky Piggy Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask – £10.57 (link)

If you haven’t heard or seen people talking about this mask on blogs and YouTube then you need to crawl up from under your rock and get searching. This is a Korean face mask that everyone seems to be trying at the moment. It’s a mask that reacts with oxygen to foam up and expand, and let me tell you it looks really cool! I’ll pop the link to where Bunny over at grav3yardgirl tried it. I really want to give this a go as not only does it look cool but it actually sounds like an awesome face mask to try.

  • Village Candle Wax Melts in Sugarplum Fairy – £3.90 (link)

Village Candle are a brand I haven’t tried before but Dane has and they are beautiful candles. Just as good as Yankee Candle’s to be honest. Near to where I live someone was selling these in a store so I got to smell pretty much all the scents. Sadly when I went to go and purchase this she had left and was only selling online from then on. Was a real shame to be honest but meh at least I can buy from her online. Sugarplum Fairy is a scent that I can’t really describe… All I can say about it is that it smells sweet and reminds me of something I would have smelt and fallen in love with as a child. I’m burning wax tarts like crazy of late so I would love to add these to my collection in the future.

  • Build A Bear Pokemon Eevee Set – £48.50 (link)

I have saved the best until last for this post and this is definitely something I will be buying as soon as I am paid (in 6 days!!!!!) as I really want it! I heard about the rumor of an Eevee joining the Build A Bear store but I didn’t quite believe it… That is until pictures leaked. Due to all the leaks and excitement around this teddy Build A Bear decided to release it early. AHHH! At the time of writing this post the Eevee came out today, and has already sold out in America. I know it’s expensive but there is a reason for that. You get the Eevee, two outfits, a voice box inside so it can speak and a limited edition Pokemon card exclusively for Build A Bear. I really want to order this right now, but I’m skint so I won’t be able to. Plus it’s now out of stock in the UK… Sad times. This is so damn cute! I’d end up keeping it downstairs in the living room to snuggle into whilst watching TV with Dane. I’m such a big kid, I don’t even care!

So that was my wish list for September! What goodies do you have your eye on this month? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below.

Until next time all take care and I hope you’re having a lovely weekend so far.

Pay Day Haul!

Dayum have I really been M.I.A. the past week? I’ve been so busy this past week with being off work, as well as Dane being off work too. Everyday I kept saying to myself, “Nat you REALLY need to get some blog work done!” to then reply back, “Yeah… After this level on Lego Star Wars.” That level ended up turning out to be THE WHOLE GAME! Seriously fuck my life, and fuck you Lego! 😛

 photo Photo 12-08-2016 7 20 28 pm_zps7hgpqvt4.jpg

BUT me and Dane finally moved our arses after I got paid on Wednesday and took ourselves out for some very much needed retail therapy on Friday. We were like big kids that day too… I’m sure you can already see why!

We decided to go to one of our local shopping centers and this is actually a good little hail for me considering I am meant to be being good, and I’m after a new casual dress and some skirts/denim shorts so I have been on the warpath! Not a successful one mind. Onto the haul (by the way I apologise that the pictures aren’t super duper crisp and magical! I wanted to get the pictures taken quickly so we could play with the Nerf guns! :P)!

 photo Photo 12-08-2016 7 20 38 pm_zpsbxtaycuv.jpg

There’s a Yankee Candle store in the place we usually go shopping and it is amazing! They have all the exclusives in there, as well as some great two for offers. We always go for a mooch every time we visit as it doesn’t hurt to have a sniff on what candles you may buy next. We weren’t going to go in this time, but I’m glad I did as I picked up Candy Cane Lane, one of my favourites! It’s from the Christmas line, but the Christmas scents are by far the best in my eyes. This one came out a couple of years ago now and Dane was good enough to buy it me when it first launched. I’m coming to the end of that jar now and I refused to burn it anymore until I picked up a new one. This was in the sale for £10.99! A bargain for a large Yankee Candle. I won’t lie, I wish I had bought two of these. 😛

 photo Photo 12-08-2016 7 20 43 pm_zpsahp60cnt.jpg

Now I have a bit of a complaint/back story about The Body Shop! I saw that they were doing 30% off of everything on the website so I thought sod it I’ll order those tea tree goodies I want! I ordered, paid with PayPal and at first I got two emails saying the payment had gone though and everything was fine. Then the website told me it hadn’t gone through and there was a problem… I got an email stating the same as well. BUT The Body Shop STILL took my money! I think it has been put back after me complaining etc. But what if I had assumed anything? I would be £16 down! This isn’t this first time this has happened with The Body Shop online and due to it happening again I refuse to use their website now… I’m sorry but The Body Shop is a big company and they should have this stuff sorted by now. It’s  been going on for years, very disappointed guys!

Phew rant over, onto what I bought. I picked up their tea tree ranges three step cleanse, tone, and moisturise kit. A girl I work with (hey Rhi!) has told me that she loves the tea tree range and said how good it is, so I thought I’d try it. So far it’s pretty good, but it has caused my skin to break out a bit… Think this is meant to happen but I don’t think I like it. The foaming cleanser is lovely and cleansing and is fun to use! It reminds me of when I was a teenager and use to use the Simple foaming cleanser. The toner is the real “wow” factor of these steps. If you have sensitive skin then this probably isn’t for you. It’s very strong due to the tea tree and due to that it does sting the skin when applied. I was stupid enough to go over my eyes with it. The burn, oh the burn! Now the moisturiser is great but it’s probably my least favourite part of the kit. Purely because it states that it will matt the skin… Bollocks it does no such thing! Wasn’t surprise to be honest. Other than that it is an amazing light weight gel based lotion that really does wonders for my skin… Just doesn’t matt it like it says it will. The set cost £14 BUT as I had a £5 voucher on my Body Shop card it only cost me £9. What a bargain eh!? Even at £14 I think this set was a bargain as the cleanser and toner are both £5.50 each, and the moisturiser is a shocking £9! I’ll definitely pick up this set again for the money though.

 photo Photo 12-08-2016 7 20 45 pm_zpsiom8rls7.jpg

Random but this is something I picked up with Dane when we popped into The Range for some home ware goodies. I’ve spotted it in loads of shops but never been bothered to buy it. Dane pointed it out to me due to the fox on the cover, and at £6.99 I thought meh why not pick it up! Give me something to do when the weather is nice and I want to sit out in the garden. I haven’t yet given this a go but bloody hell it’s going to be fun to do once I get started!

 photo Photo 12-08-2016 7 20 31 pm_zps2akv2vcj.jpg

some_text

This little guy has been on my wish list since before Christmas when I spotted him in Forbidden Planet. Since then I have asked and pestered Dane to let me buy him, or him to buy it for me but each time he has said no. I get why as this wasn’t cheap at £39.99! You know what though? Totally worth it! We visited two Toys R Us stores to get our Nerf guns and in the first store we picked this Lego Wall-E up. That evening we put on some Kevin Smith and Clerks and built this little guy up. We only got half way and went to bed as it was getting late, but when I woke up the next morning Dane had finished him and popped him on our fireplace. He’s absolutely gorgeous and really is a nice piece to add to our living room.

 photo Photo 12-08-2016 7 20 35 pm_zps6tqbbtus.jpg

The one thing that Dane was after when we went shopping was a Nerf gun… Well guns, one each. We had said about a year ago how when we finally bought our first home and were settled we would buy ourselves Nerf guns to play with in the house. Well now we finally have some, as well as some extra ammo! Dane always wanted the Stormtrooper blaster and after finding one in a second store he decided to get it. It cost a mean £39.99 but it’ll be great for cosplaying a Stormtrooper in the future (something we both want to do). I couldn’t settled on something however, and I constantly ummed and ahhed at the bow and arrows, as well as various different guns. I eventually said, “Meh I may as well match you and get a Star Wars one.” and as I reached for the Han Solo gun, I saw that they had made one for Rey! Perfect! So low and behold I picked up a Star Wars gun too. Mine cost £24.99. The extra bullets were under £10 which was pretty reasonable if you ask me.

 photo Photo 11-08-2016 5 42 20 pm_zpsetjk7xtg.jpg

Finally we have my favourite item on this haul (apart from the Wall-E and the Nerf guns because come on! Nothing better than being a big kid! :P) which is my new Killstar jumper. I didn’t get this from the official website, but instead I bought it from someone on eBay. It was brand new with the tags on as she had only tried it on to see how it would fit on her. So for £25.00 (inc P&P) I thought I would snatch it up before someone else could! This is of course still available to buy from the Killstar website, which I have linked here for you! I haven’t worn it yet but I’ve tried it on and it is so damn soft and comfortable! I want to team it up with some denim shorts or thick black leggings and Dr Martens boots or brothel creepers. It’ll probably end up being one of my staple pieces for autumn and winter this year. CAN’T WAIT!

But yes that was my short pay day haul for August! I’m meant to be being good so yes there are a couple of treats in here but I am trying to be good and watch my money at the moment.

What have you been buying yourself this pay day? Make sure to let me know in the comments!

Until next time take care all and I hope yo had a lovely weekend.

Photo Diary Adventure – London

I have literally just got back from a trip to London to visit my friend Sophi, and it was very much needed! They house has been very stressful to say the least and my trip to London came up in good time. I booked the trip back in April/May, and due to that it cost me next to sod all! Only £6.00 each way! Can I hear a woo to the motherfuckin’ hoo??!!

Anyway… I decided I would do a little photo diary of my trip down to “the big smoke” (as my dad calls it), because why not?

Due to my anxiety I was really nervous about traveling on my own, but it was really straight forward. I just had to get on a train and sit for just over two hours.

 photo Photo 13-06-2016 10 04 29 am_zpswgdbrosg.jpg

My dad gave me a lift to New Street half an hour before my train was due, which I liked as it gave me time to grab a magazine, a drink (I drink a flat white with vanilla if you were curious), and get to my platform in time to get a good seat.

 photo Photo 13-06-2016 10 34 18 am_zpsdie3zihu.jpg

I managed to grab a good a window seat with a table which was good as it meant I could lean on the table and do some writing. Throughout the journey I did just that whilst listening to my music and wrote some blog posts. I was also talking to a lovely woman from New Zealand throughout the journey, and she was telling me how she had been traveling around Europe for nine weeks, and was getting close to her trip ending.

 photo Photo 13-06-2016 12 42 19 pm_zps186tvalb.jpg

Finally after the two hour and a bit journey I arrived at London Euston, and was greeted by Sophi up by The Body Shop. YAY! I was pleased that she was able to meet me as I was anxious about getting lost attempted to get out of Euston, or going down to the underground. London does set off my anxiety a tad, even though from this trip I feel more comfortable about it now.

Day I Arrived:

 photo Photo 13-06-2016 2 15 41 pm_zpsq2p95vio.jpg

As soon as we met up we decided that food was needed, and went to YO! Sushi for some lunch. We had a good gossip whilst we had our food and it was pretty standard for YO! Sushi really. If you know what I mean.

Soon as we finished our food we headed to the shops, starting off at M&M World. Me and Dane were meant to go there when we were in London last year, but we never did and so I wanted to see what I missed out on! Not going to lie… I didn’t miss much.

 photo Photo 13-06-2016 3 02 05 pm_zpsn3nhvjkw.jpg

 photo Photo 13-06-2016 3 05 47 pm_zpsdxfws9aq.jpg

Don’t get me wrong, M&M World was good and is definitely somewhere you need to go at least once, but the only thing I liked about it was the pictures I got to take with Sophi. A lot of the products for sale were well overpriced and whilst they were nice, I wouldn’t buy them for myself. Only a massive M&M fan will get a kick from this place. Alas, I didn’t. It was cool though, and I loved nosing at all the stuff that they had on offer, especially the create your own M&M’s! But they were extortionate prices so I left it… Otherwise I would have bought some for me and Dane for when we move into the house.

The next shop we popped in was just next door, which is the Nickelodeon Shop. I prayed that they would sell some Adventure Time goodies, but sadly they didn’t. The majority of stuff for sale in there wasn’t anything I was really interested in, such as Spongebob Square Pants, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Paw Patrol, and Dora the Explorer. They did have something I was interested in mind, even if the section was only small. The Rugrats selection they had wasn’t very big, with only four pieces of clothing on offer, including the t-shirt that I picked up. I will show it off a lot better on a haul post soon, but I love this t-shirt so much! I loved watched the show growing up, so it has some nostalgia to it.

 photo Photo 13-06-2016 4 52 51 pm_zpsmtytmv8z.jpg

After that we had a walk around various places all the while including (name of shop) which is an old sweet shop, where I got a few goodies, Hamley’s, Japan Centre, and then we went to Choccywoccydoodah!

 photo Photo 13-06-2016 5 39 38 pm_zpsc7ofeoyh.jpg

Choccywoccydoodah is a chocolate shop that also make cakes. But the store in London has a café at the top of the shop which me and Sophi ventured to for a naughty chocolate lunch. I had never heard of it until she told me about it, and insisted that we go. It was pretty damn amazing to be honest… The café that is! It was all done out and reminded me of Moulin Rouge. We had orange lemonade and some dark chocolate melted in pots with biscuits to dunk. It was a real treat to say the least and I’ll definitely be going again, especially with Dane.

 photo Photo 13-06-2016 5 44 13 pm_zpsklkave4q.jpg

 photo Photo 13-06-2016 5 45 53 pm_zpsp5a7rjgm.jpg

As much as I loved the café upstairs I sadly can’t say I felt the same about the shop downstairs. I’m being honest, but I just found that it looked tacky and was crazily overpriced. I guess I’m just a boring cow and love my cakes plain and simple. Is that such a crime? Although I say this I bought me and Dane some chocolate to try, because why not?

After a spot of chocolate overdose we headed to Oxford Street, what I was most excited about! I don’t know why I love shopping on Oxford Street so much but I have a feelings it’s due to how big the shops are. Of course the first shop we had to go into was Lush, why would I pass that up?!

I had some black pots that I wanted to exchange for a face mask, and I knew for ages that I wanted to give Prince of Darkness a go. A lovely member of staff let me try it, as well as a few other face masks on the back of my hand. I knew I’d like this face mask due to the charcoal, and I cannot wait to try it and now and review it for you guys. Alongside that I also picked up a few other goodies including my Oxford Street favourite Supertramp bubble bar, and the new bath bomb Lava Lamp. I was very good to say the least and didn’t buy more things, even though strangely I didn’t want much more.

 photo Photo 13-06-2016 7 21 30 pm_zpsfyxqrwte.jpg

After this we looked around various other shops on Oxford Street before our final destination being Topshop. Oh my God, it was huge, I couldn’t believe it to be honest. The floor you walk into is just nothing but accessories, no clothes or anything. I was taken back by how much stuff there was on the floor, including a Bubbleology, and a Lola’s Cupcakes. We bought some bubble tea from there to drink, and I’m not going to sugar coat it, the staff were rude and it wasn’t made properly. I drink bubble tea a lot and watch how it’s made, so I know when it’s been right or not.

 photo Photo 13-06-2016 7 35 41 pm_zpsflnuvyna.jpg

Other than that, I wasn’t completely disappointed by my trip into the Oxford Street Topshop. I ended up buying a real treat from there that I will love for years, my new yellow raincoat. YES I said yellow! 😛 I will talk more about it in my haul that will be up in a few days, but I wore this for the majority of my stay in London, and it was so cosy, and warm, and of course was waterproof for all the crap rain we had down there. I cannot wait to do some look book posts with it.

After that we finally decided to call it a day and headed home. We stayed up until late nattering away about all sorts, as well as planning what we could do the next day!

Day One:

I woke up bright and early for the long, and exciting day ahead of us. In fact I woke up a whole two hours before Sophi did! It was because a delivery van woke me up and I couldn’t get back to sleep so I decided to text Dane for a while as he got ready for work, and was at the house. I also sorted out my suitcase by putting stuff in there what I had bought the day before.

 photo Photo 14-06-2016 12 31 43 pm_zpsptqv9kqz.jpg

The weather wasn’t exactly amazing whilst I was down there and the majority of the time it rained… The full day I was there wasn’t any different and it rained a lot! Good job I had my new raincoat, eh? 😛

 photo Photo 14-06-2016 1 01 47 pm_zps5qeb0atj.jpg

Something I loved about getting the train from where Sophi lives (Harlow) is on the way into London you can see the gherkin, and The Shard! I had to of course get a sneaky picture of this.

 photo Photo 14-06-2016 1 34 28 pm_zpsvxq9t5wp.jpg

We had already decided months before that we would be going shopping at the Stratford shopping centre, but not until we had gone to Bubba Gump Shrimp for lunch! I wanted to go when me and Dane were in London but as never really got time, and we worried we wouldn’t like what was on the menu, as he isn’t a massive fan of fish.

 photo Photo 14-06-2016 2 12 02 pm_zpsx43ujnih.jpg

I really enjoyed going there, and I loved the food we shared too. Sophi had been before, she knew what to recommend for us to eat. When I had looked at the menu back when I ordered my train tickets I decided on a chicken burger, but what’s the point in going to a shrimp restaurant if you eat chicken??? Exactly! In the end I decided on a cherry fizzer drink, and for food we ordered garlic bread (which let me tell you were HUGE!), shrimp shack mac & cheese, and Forrest’s seafood feast.

Not only did I enjoy the food, but I loved the decor of the restaurant too! To make it better, they had Forrest Gump playing in the background, which I loved. It isn’t the cheapest place in the world, but £39 for two people and drinks wasn’t bad in my eyes. I would and will gladly go again.

So our next stop was the Stratford shopping centre! Which I was really excited to go to as I have heard nothing but good things about it from Sophi, and I also heard how big it is before I went down to London. If you’ve never been, it is like two Birmingham Bullring’s, if not bigger than that!

I saw various things I liked and wanted to buy, and various things I liked and ended up being naughty and picking up. These are in my haul post here.

The one thing I really regret not picking up was this Deadpool picture from HMV. I can’t even find it on the website to order! As I always say on majority of my posts these days, I love Deadpool, and so does Dane. I would love this picture to put up in the spare room, as it would just look awesome! It wasn’t cheap at £14.99, but to be honest I don’t mind paying that for Deadpool. I can see me picking this up next time I’m near a HMV.

I also eyed up this Totoro bento box in The Japan Centre, but I didn’t get it because of the size of it, and I don’t really need it. It was only £12.99, so maybe next time I’ll pick one up!

Then after I was shopped out and very tired, me and Sophi headed home (aka her flat) and relaxed for the evening. We had something to eat, and watched Lilo and Stitch before we went to bed. I was shattered so we got an early night. Before I went to sleep I tidied my suitcase so that I wouldn’t need to do it the  next day.

Going Home:

It was time to head home, and as my train wasn’t due to leave until 2.13pm it meant we could chill out for a while in the flat before heading into London. We didn’t do much really, just made sure my bag was all packed and such, as well as have some breakfast and get showered and dressed.

We left the house nice and early to make sure we were in Euston for time to have a coffee before I left and a chat. We popped to Starbucks and Sophi treated me to their new S’Mores drink (which was really nommy!) and a toastie. I showed her Bee & Puppycat, and we chatted about what she could do with the rest of her day.

Eventually it came to be time for me to get onto my train, and I was really sad to be saying goodbye. I had an amazing couple of days with Sophi, and I honestly cannot wait to do it again soon!

My train journey wasn’t as quiet as it was going into London, and I couldn’t wait for people to get off at stops so I could just chill out. I was going to try and get a blog post or two written, but in the end I just played games on my phone and listened to music.

Eventually I got back to New Street, and good ol’ Brum with my dad waiting to pick me up.

As much as I loved London and seeing Sophi, I just wanted to get back home so I could give Dane his box of goodies, as well as start working on the house again. It was nice to have a break and escape reality for a while, but you can’t run away forever.

I’m hoping to go down to London again soon to stay with Sophi, as it’s just too much fun to wait until Christmas to go again! I also apologise for not having so many pictures towards the end of this post, I was kinda too busy to take anymore. 😛

I’m hoping to start doing more photo diary related posts, as I love reading things like this myself. Did you enjoy this style of post from me? Make sure to let me know in the comments! If you liked it, I’ll certainly do more.

Until next time, take care all and I hope you have a great weekend.

London Haul

 photo Photo 19-06-2016 9 04 53 pm_zps72nthk0b.jpg

Wow what a long week it has been since returning from London! Of course I do apologise for how quiet I have been the past two weeks, but as I said on my Twitter account, I have been way too busy with the house to think or have time to do anything with my blog. Sorry about this, but I know that my regular readers understand, and for this I love you all and thank you as much as I can!

I have just got back from London after visiting my good friend Sophi, and I had an amazing time! I ended up spending more than I intended to as we went shopping around London, as well as in Stratford shopping centre. So I thought why not show all my lovelies what I bought down in the smoke!

I said from the start of my trip to London that I wouldn’t buy any clothing, as I don’t need any, but I found that was the majority of what I bought. Oops! I picked up three t-shirts, and a coat.

 photo Photo 19-06-2016 9 09 14 pm_zpsqknekfma.jpg

 photo Photo 19-06-2016 9 09 20 pm_zps7salqyz3.jpg

The first t-shirt I picked up was this Rugrats Reptar one from the Nickelodeon shop in London. It wasn’t cheap to be honest at £20, but I thought it would make a nice treat and was a real throwback to my childhood as I loved watching Rugrats growing up. So much so that I still watch it to this day if I fancy a bit of a nostalgia trip. As you can see it’s a purple t-shirt, with Reptar on, as well as his name in metallic pink writing. You can pick this up online here.

The second and third t-shirts that I bought were both from HMV, not usually a place you would think sold clothing. They do sell t-shirts though, usually relating to bands, TV shows, movies, and games, etc. You get the point! These two t-shirts were both £12.99 each, however HMV have an offer where you can buy two for £20, which is a bargain really! So of course I took them up on that offer, because it would have been rude not to.

The Harley Quinn one is to coincide with The Suicide Squad, as it’s meant to be the same as the t-shirt she wears in the movie (which FYI I am excited to see when it comes out!). I just love the design of it, it’ll be something nice to rock in the summer with shorts… Like Harley Quinn really! A girl I work with (Hi Rhi! ^_^) has this t-shirt too, and I heard about it from her before my trip to London. As you can probably gather this is a woman’s t-shirt. Sadly any men out there who want it won’t find it in HMV. I would have linked back to this for people to look into buying from HMV, but it isn’t on the website sadly.

I also picked up a Deadpool t-shirt from HMV. It had to be done, as I LOVE Deadpool and I knew whilst I was in London I wanted to pick up some Deadpool goodies, or at least one. This was the only thing I actually managed to pick up, and I don’t regret it. This is a pretty straight forward tee with just a picture of Deadpool with his arms folded, nothing spectacular or special. I don’t mind that to be perfectly honest. This is a mans tee, sorry ladies they don’t have any specifically for us! I don’t mind this though as I picked up a smaller size so it would fit snug on me. You can find this on the website, and I have linked it here for you.

As well as the two t-shirts I picked up from HMV I also bought myself a few other things, not clothing related. I picked up these Kurt Cobain pin badges for my backpack, as during my trip to London I decided that I would start to use it again more often. I love Nirvana and Kurt so I though it would be cool to get some badges with his face on them. These were a steal at £3.99 and I can’t wait to pop a few on my backpack. I also picked up a DVD copy of Forrest Gump after visiting Bubba Gump Shrimp. It’s a film I’ve been meaning to buy and add to my collection for some time now, as it’s one of my favourite films. I put it on for me and Dane to watch when I got back from London, and I cried so many times that I ended up losing count. Oh dear. 😦 It was another bargain at only £2.99!

My favourite purchase of my trip to London was definitely my new coat, a yellow raincoat! I have been after one of Topshop’s raincoats for years now, and every time I saw one I liked the look of it seemed to sell out really quickly, if not straight away. I saw this one in the Oxford Street store and decided to grab it with both hands before I was never able to buy one again! I’ve bought it two sizes too big for me so it didn’t feel snug, but instead was more roomy and baggy. Reason being so that in autumn and winter I can layer up and not feel uncomfortable. I found from wearing it around London for a couple of days that this coat is incredibly warm, and will be perfect for rainy days! The hood is huge which I’m really pleased about, as I love any jacket, coat, or hoodie was a hood that swamps my whole face. I can’t wait to wear these with my Jake Dr Martens boots (you can read about them here) as they’re both yellow and will look amazing! With all this rain we’ve been having they’ll work perfectly together. Yay! You can fine this raincoat on Topshop’s website here.

I mentioned before that I went to Bubba Gump Shrimp whilst in London and shortly after having a meal there with Sophi, I decided I wanted to get some goodies from the gift shop. Before heading down the restaurant gave us our blue flashing glasses that we’d had drinks in. As Sophi already had a blue glass already, she kindly gave me hers so that me and Dane could have one each in the house. I love that she does things like that! I also bought two pint glasses from the gift shop, which were meant to be two for £10, but the guy only charged me £5.98 for two. I didn’t say anything and accepted how cheap they were! One is going to be for my dad whenever he comes to visit me at the house, and the other for myself and Dane to use whenever. They’re just bog standard pint glasses, which will come in handy for pop, beer, etc. By the way I do apologise for the pint glasses still being wrapped up. I don’t want to open them until me and Dane have moved into the house. But you all know what a pint glass looks like anyway! 😛

Of course I couldn’t go down to London and not pop into the Lush on Oxford Street. That would just be out of order, and it was one of the last shops me and Sophi popped into on my first day in London. I had promised Dane (and myself) that I wouldn’t buy anything… But I caved in and ended up buying two things. DOH! I took in five empty black pots and bagged myself a free pot of The Prince of Darkness face mask, which I was super happy about! I haven’t used it yet, but I hope to soon.

The two products I bought were Supertramp bubble bar, which is an exclusive to Oxford Street, and their newest bath bomb Lava Lamp (link here), which Oxford Street did release when they first opened last year, but discontinued it shortly after. I imagine to work on a better formula and scent for it… Who knows! Either way I thought I was going to go crazy and want to buy more, but alas I only really wanted to get my favourite exclusive, that being Supertramp, and I’ve always wanted to try Lava Lamp. I’ll be giving them a go soon enough and reviewing them. Woop!

 photo Photo 19-06-2016 9 22 52 pm_zpsmrlcrylv.jpg

The majority of the rest of things I bought were food and drinks related, either Japanese or American. I said that I would be coming back with loads of Japanese snacks, but I didn’t really think about bringing this much back! Boy do I have a lot to show…

 photo Photo 19-06-2016 9 22 58 pm_zps0zejm2ws.jpg

All my Japanese goodies are mostly from Japan Centre, but I also grabbed some stuff from an independent Japanese supermarket too. I bought two types of Pocky, banana and matcha (green tea), my two favourites! They cost less than a £1 each so I bought two of each, because why not! I also bought some random goodies too such as Pokemon wafers, a panda wafer, as well as three bottles of ramune soda! One is missing however due to me and Dane drinking it… Oops!

I also bought plenty of American sweets, mostly blue raspberry flavoured as they have always been my favourite. Just loads of random things. These were mostly from Gobstoppers in Stratford shopping centre, and I’m just going to say that I will never go there again. I will try the one in Birmingham to see what it’s like, but I judged the Stratford one so hard. They were selling out of date stock from over a year ago, AT FULL PRICE, the staff were rude, and they charged ridiculous prices for things you can buy in Asda for 99p. A complete joke, and I won’t be going there again…

 photo Photo 19-06-2016 9 23 02 pm_zpsrumn1bnv.jpg

Another sweet related place I bought stuff from was the legendary Choccywoccydoodah, which I had never heard about until my friend Sophi told me about it. We ventured into the cafe there, which was amazing, and to be honest (for me) the best part about it. The shop itself was lovely, with some beautiful creations, but at the same time I do feel like it was really tacky… Sorry (I’m not sorry…)! I ended up buying some chocolate, one little slab of dark (which you can buy here), and a larger slab of chocolate with green tea flavour (which you can buy here). I’m excited to try these, as the dark chocolate we had in the cafe was gorgeous! It was ridiculously overpriced to be honest, and I doubt I’ll ever buy anything from there again. I feel bitchy saying that, but it just seems a rip off for what you’re getting, especially when I’m not a huge chocolate lover anyway.

Apart from the goodies that I also picked up for Dane (a Fallout 4 Dogmeat Pop Vinyl!, a book, and some sweeties) that is all I bought! My friend Sophi gave me and Dane one of the nicest moving in presents we have received so far, with it being matching Disney mugs! Lady and The Tramp for me, and Stitch for Dane. We love them, and will be using them lots when we move into the house. She also gave me a medium Pink Sands Yankee Candle that she didn’t want, as well as a Charity Pot lotion from Lush that she didn’t want either. All the goodies! I intend to give her something very soon as a thank you for having me stay at hers whilst we were in London. That and it’s her birthday soon!

So that was all the stuff I bought whilst in London! I wish I could have ventured to more places that sold Japanese related things, but that will be for next time.

What have you bought nice for yourself lately? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below!

Until next time take care all, and I hope you’re having a good week.

April ’16 Favourites

It’s May, and you wouldn’t believe we were into Spring with how the weather as been the past week. Snow two of the days this week! Weather, are you drunk? 😛

Anyway, on with the favourites for this month just gone!

 photo April Favs_zpsesyasmep.jpg

  • Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Spray (link)

I love the Sugar Crush scent. It’s so gorgeous, summery, and it cheers me up any time of the year. So when I spotted that they had brought out the body spray, I made sure to pick one up. At the moment I use it everyday at work, I usually go for perfume but I want to try to use up my body sprays. That and I find my perfume is too nice to wear for work right now. One of the girls I work with always compliments me when I wear this, saying I smell like a holiday, and coconut. Love it! 😛

  • L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream (link)

I only have the travel size in this and that suits me down to the ground as this stuff is amazing! A little bit goes a long way and it really does help moisturise my hands when I’m out and about. It’s thick which makes it feel like it’s actually working when applied to your skin. I love L’Occitane when it comes to their products, and you can never go wrong.

  • Lush Magic Wand Re-Usable Bubble Bar

This is a limited edition Lush item from Christmas, so sadly you can’t buy it anymore. My friend Sophie recently gave me a small box of Lush goodies that her sister didn’t want anymore, including Fairy Dust, Snow Fairy, AND this Magic bubble bar. I’ve used it twice now and I love it! I still have two of these in my Lush box to use too. I find one point of the star gives me enough for one bath, so I still have four baths left, the three points that are left, as well as the middle. This is just a lovely treat for me, and I intend to use one this evening after I finish work.

  • Bourjois Souffle De Velvet Liquid Lipstick in shades Cherry Leaders and Plum Plum Pidou (link)

I couldn’t decide on which one to add to my favourite this month, so I had to add both! I wasn’t going to pick these up, as I’d just bought two new Jeffree Star Velour liquid lipsticks, but alas I saw the offer Boots had on and bought two (the offer being any 2 Bourjois products for £14) and I don’t regret it. These are so lovely and light to wear on the lips! They go on like a gloss, and they don’t really dry matte, but they dry well enough to stay on for a while. I use Cherry Leaders over a red lip liner to help it last longer. I got nothing but compliments when I wore these towards the end of April. I’ll be reviewing them soon for sure.

  • Yankee Candle Large Jar in Hazelnut Latte

I LOVE this candle. I’m just sad it’s slowly coming to the end of the jar. It’s limited edition and probably won’t come around again until autumn/winter time now. Sad times. It lasts ages though and smells amazing. My family love the scent of it as well, which is a nice change. I have it burning now and it smells lovely. I’ll definitely pick another one of these up in the future if I see it for sale. Dane bought me this last summer, so I’m surprised how long it has lasted me.

Apart from one general product, those were my beauty favourites from April! I know I’ll be stuck for choice already for May as I have so many things I love from the end of April already, as well as stuff I’m waiting to arrive in the post. Let’s just say they’re liquid lipsticks, and by my favourite brand. 😛

What products did you keep reading for throughout April? Make sure to let me know in the comments.

Until next time, take care all and I hope you had a great April.
