February Wish List 17

I’m still on a “spending ban” so I don’t actually know why I’m making this post… 😛 I’m not going to lie, my wish list posts are probably my favourite to write as I like to share some awesome new stuff that I want to add to my home, as well as to my lipstick and geeky collections.

So sod the spending ban! I’ll continue to do these posts until I don’t want to write them anymore! There won’t be anything too special on the list this month however… Just stuff I want to buy and cannot. Le sigh.

  • ASOS Reclaimed Vintage Black Sabbath Long Sleeve Top – £35.00 (link)

I recently discovered this piece thanks to Zoe London as she bought it herself and was talking about it in a video. To be honest though a lot of fashion YouTuber’s have bought this piece lately and it’s just made me want to get it myself more and more. Sadly it is out of stock at the moment… I’m hoping it’ll come back in stock in my size so I can erm… Maybe order one… ONLY A MAYBE CALM YO’ TITS!

  • Good Smile Company Deadpool Nendoroid – £42.99 (link)

As regular readers will know me and Dane love and collect Nendoroid’s and from the day it was announced we knew we would be getting the Deadpool one. I mean look how cute he is! We were planning on buying him this month ready for what we thought was his release date at the end of the month. Sadly that isn’t until next month… We can still pre-order him though as we intending on getting him as a Valentine’s treat to ourselves. 😛 What an excuse eh???

  • Disturbia Kiss My Ass Acid Wash Shorts – WAS £29.95 – NOW £22.95 (link)

I’ve wanted these jeans for quite a while now after I found someone selling them on Depop. I didn’t actually know they were still available to buy from the actual store until recently when I decided to check out their sales. I would love a new pair of denim shorts as I haven’t bought myself a new pair for quite some time now. I’d pair them up with geeky t-shirts and tuck them in. I doubt I’ll get these due to spending ban, but they’ll stay on my wish list for as long as possible.

  • Ray Ban Glasses – £98.00 (link)

I went for an eye test the weekend just gone after about two years of going without one and sadly my eyes have worsened, which means that I need to get a new set of lenses… Probably frames too it depends. I looked for ages in the opticians that I went into for a new pair and the one Ray Ban pair I liked were bloody expensive and the second pair I liked were nice but seemed really cheap. I had a mooch online and found Glasses Direct who sell designer frames at really good prices! They also sort out your lenses for you too, including thinning them down, which is what mine will need doing to them… Due to the blindness and all. I’ll hopefully get some soon but we shall see! I do really like my current frames so I don’t know why I should change them… A lot of people don’t want to put new lenses into them though which is annoying!

  • Nintendo 3DS Poochy and Yoshi’s Woolly World – £34.99 (link)

If there’s a Nintendo character that I really like (apart from Pokemon of course…) it’s definitely Yoshi! He’s just so damn cute and adorable and I just wish he was real. I especially love the little woolly Yoshi that was realised to coincide with the wii U version of the game a few years ago and really wanted to get one myself to put in my bedroom at the time. NOW the 3DS is finally getting its own version of this game which is really exciting! I gave the demo a go recently and really did enjoy playing it, so much so I’d love to pick it up today if possible as that’s when it comes out! 😛

  • Pusheen Colouring Book – £9.99 (link)

I’ve been after this colouring book FOR AGGGGGES as I love Pusheen so much! I guess I just want something I can faff about with and just relax with instead of playing games or reading, as sometimes I’m not always in the mood to do either of those. This being said, surely this colouring book with mostly consist of grey? 😛

So that was my wish list for February! Although I’m on a spending ban there are probably a couple of things off of the list that I’ll end up buying due to needing them (glasses), Valentine’s Day gift (Deadpool Nendoroid) and because I fancy a new game (YOSHIIIII!) but we shall see… We shall see.

What are on your wish lists for the month? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below!

Until next time all, take care and I hope you had a lovely week.

Hyper Japan 2015 Part 1

I have struggled to start this post because I just didn’t know how to start it, and due to that it’s actually a day late… Oops! I’m literally just going to throw myself into it and ramble on about things in the order they occurred on the day, which I’ll warn you was long and also picture heavy! I also bought quite a few things at Hyper Japan or was given plenty of freebies, which you can see above, but I’ll go into more detail about those throughout the post.

This post is actually going to be split into two parts, because as I’ve been writing it, it’s just appeared to be WAY too long! So I’ll have part one up today, and part one up tomorrow!

Although we were shattered, we were ready for Hyper Japan and made sure we got up bright an early to get a big breakfast and then head over to the O2 where the event was happening. I’ve never been to the O2 in London before so I was in shock when I saw how big it actually is. But to get there we took the cable cart over which was pretty cool, although I was really anxious when we went over the first time, damn anxiety!

We arrived and the queue was ridiculous… However we had paid a little extra to get fast registration tickets, so we were lucky and didn’t need to wait in that queue. I later read online that it took people an hour to just over it to get into the arena. Not good! We had a bit of trouble waiting in the queue but for once my anxiety didn’t hold me back from voicing my concerns and I spoke to a member of staff about what was happening. Basically, people were pushing in and then laughing at us all who they had pushed past. Me raising these issues got us to the front of the queue, which we couldn’t complain about.

When we finally got inside we were even more excited! The O2 wasn’t that busy but it was sure heaving with restaurants. It just meant if we didn’t wish to eat at Hyper Japan, we had some choices around us.

There were various places you could visit at Hyper Japan including, Eat Japan, Hyper Fringe Market, J-Culture, Hyper Kawaii, Hyper Live, and the first place we visited, Hyper Game & Anime Park. This was probably one of the funnest places for us so it being the first place we went into was pretty awesome.

As the name suggests the Game & Anime Park was of course full of those. Nintendo was of course the main gaming event in there with loads of different demo areas for various different games, as well as a huge stage where members of Nintendo were talking people through new and upcoming games, as well as some cool events happening. We went there to watch about the latest game from Animal Crossing, Happy Home Designer (I’ve already pre ordered it!). I’m a huge Animal Crossing fan so I was super excited when we were told that event was happening on the stage. We watched the whole thing and due to being such awesome people, we were given a free Mario Kart 8 keyring, which I gave my boyfriend.

As well as that there was also a Playstation 4 console where people could demo the new Sword Art Online game, which is coming out in autumn this year! Exciting news for Sword Art Online fans like me and my boyfriend. We both had a go on the demo which latest about ten minutes and it was a pretty straight forward game. There was a huge queue when we first went into the Game & Anime Park so when we went in for a second time, that’s when we got to have a go.

Of course due to Nintendo being there, they also had some of their Amiibo items on display for people to look at, which of course we did. The ones I got most excited for were the yarn Yoshi ones, which have come out to accompany the Wii U game Yoshi’s Woolly World. They come in three colours, my favourite of course being the original green Yoshi. These are made out of real wool so not only do they look like little woolen figures, but they actually are!

Going back to Animal Crossing and the new game Happy Home Designer, these are coming out alongside it so it was nice to have a look at the cards that will be coming out for it. You use these cards to call different villagers and people in the town then and there instead of waiting ages for them. It was also nice to discover that Nintendo are bringing out an add on for old 3DS, and 2DS ‘s where you can use the cards, instead of needing to but the new 3DS.

Not long after the event where the people of Nintendo were talking about the new Animal Crossing game, a Pikachu suddenly waddled past us and over to the main Nintendo section. We followed it to discover that you could have pictures with it, so we got in the queue and got our pictures taken! It was so adorable and I wish we could have gone back and had some more pictures of it. But alas, we had things to do.

Before we left the Game & Anime Park I had a quick picture (or two!) with a massive Colossal Titan head that had been blown up with air for people to take pictures with. It’s from Attack On Titan, one of mine and my boyfriends favourite manga/anime. My boyfriend didn’t bother having any pictures with it, but I made sure to take advantage of it, as it was pretty awesome and the picture I got of me with it is definitely one of my favourites from the day.

We picked up a few bits and pieces from the Game & Anime Park and my boyfriend was lovely enough to buy me a handbag. I had my eye on it since the seller announced they would be selling them at Hyper Japan over on their Facebook page. When I told them I wanted to buy one they were lovely enough to let me look over the bag I got to make sure it was okay and such, which of course it was. It also came in a dust bag which I love! I keep it in there when I’m not using it to keep it nice and fresh looking. It’s a dupe of the Samantha Vega handbag which I’m fine with, as it’s a nice dupe and when I’ve used this bag since me getting it, it’s amazing quality and is really sturdy and great! I’m super pleased with it, and for £35 it was well worth the money. My boyfriend also bought me some green tea matcha Kit Kat’s, which were only 80p each! By far the cheapest ones in the whole of Hyper Japan.

We moved over to the other areas of Hyper Japan and probably spent most of our time there looking around all the various stalls and stands.

This is the Tofu Cute Candy Festival and something we visited twice because we loved it so much! For just £6 we got all these treats to eat and try, so we got two of these. There were various things we got from Pocky, Kit Kat’s, chocolate, sweets, and as you can see on this picture, a green tea matcha mochi, where was delicious. It was a great way to sample things before buying them in the shop next door. The shop was so busy too, it was probably one of the busiest stalls of the day.

As the Saturday Hyper Japan day is split into two separate events people are told they need to leave for half an hour whilst the event is swapped around so before we headed off we ordered a picture to be drawn of us together, as well as picked up a picture of me that someone had drawn in the Fringe Market.

We also decided to grab some food from the Eat Japan section. We bought some tuna onigiri, and to the Japanese onigiri is like a sandwich to us, which I LOVED! They were two for £6, which wasn’t cheap for but for how filling it was, it was really nice. I think we’re going to try and make these ourselves in the future.

Then we headed back to the hotel as we were pretty shattered and wanted to drop off some of the stuff we had bought, as things were beginning to be quiet heavy. The queue for the cable cart was long! But luckily we were alright and soon got into a cart with some people. I felt a lot more relaxed the second time we rode it and I would love to go on it again in the future.

And whilst I was going to continue talking about Hyper Japan, I’m going to stop for today and call this part one out of two. This post is just turning out to be way too long to fit into one post without it not beginning to be boring.

So tomorrow I shall talk about the second half of Hyper Japan in part two!

What do you think of my first Hyper Japan experience so far? Did you go to Hyper Japan? Let me know in the comments.

Until tomorrow, take care all.

Boxing Day Sales and What I Picked up!

Oh sales, we all love them, don’t we? However over the years I have found sales shopping has become more of a chore than a joy and after the chaos that I faced last year, I was put off going out shopping in them this year.

I waited a week before I ventured out and whilst it was still a little busy, it wasn’t too crazy. I also shopped online, which was good as I got to sit on my lazy arse, in my nice soft bed and not worry about any queuing or cold winter breezes.

So before I go away for two weeks I thought I would show you what I picked up.

This first thing I picked up was this beautiful clutch bag. Although this is a sales haul, I didn’t actually pick this up in the sales. I bought it Christmas Day as a little Christmas gift to myself. I’d had my eye on it for ages, ever since Lily Melrose wrote a blog post about it back in December. The stock of the back was running low so I decided to pick one up whilst I could, and with being a student I got £3.00 knocked off of it! Can’t complain at that, eh? I have to add how this isn’t the cheapest clutch bag in the world at £30.00… But I wanted it and I only really paid £27.00 so it isn’t that bad… Is it?  This bag is lovely though, it’s described as mermaid which I thought was amazing as it really does resemble a mermaid’s tail. This is also real leather, which is probably one of the reasons why this clutch bag is a little on the expensive side. I used this on New Years Eve and I loved it! It’s really roomy inside and feels a nice size to carry around. I’m taking it on holiday with me so I can use it in the evenings, I can’t wait!

These items are going to turn into a little bit of a rant… On Boxing Day I ordered some goodies from Lush and have I received them yet? NO! This is the first and last time I’ll be ordering from Lush online again as quite frankly their online service is rubbish. Rant over, onto what I bought. I picked up So White, Golden Wonder and Luxury Lush Pud Bath Bombs in their sale. These were all going at less than £2.00 each, so I picked up 5 So White’s, 2 Golden Wonder’s and 1 or 2 Luxury Lush Puds. Considering there were probably over £3.00 each, I think I got some pretty good deals! When they finally arrive I’ll be so excited to give these a go! Going to use So White on my birthday tomorrow, so will smell of yummy apples all day.

For the past four or five years I’ve had a Simon’s Cat diary and this year was no different. When I went to Cheltenham this weekend me and my boyfriend had a look in the Calendar Club shop to see what we could pick up nice. This was meant to be £8.99 but I picked it up for just over £4.00 or £5.00, which is a bargain in my eyes! So glad I have this again. I know I received an amazing organiser for Christmas, but I want that to take out and about with me, this diary will stay at home.

Alongside that whilst I didn’t buy it, my boyfriend picked it up in the sales for me. I’ve been lusting after Yoshi’s Island for months and when he saw it for £30 in the sale, he picked it up for me, which was really nice. I think this game has always been around that price anyway but either way it was lovely of him to pick this up for me as he knew how much I wanted it. I’ve been playing it quite a bit, but I know I’ll play it loads whilst I’m on holiday!

This was an absolute bargain! I had actually popped this OPI set on my Christmas wish list and no one bought it for me! So on a quick shopping trip out I had a look at what was on sale in my local Sally, as they always have some good sale items on offer! Of course this set wasn’t cheap when it was full price at an astonishing £12.00, so when they told me it only cost £4.50 in the sale I was gobsmacked. So glad I picked this up in the sale though as it’s such a pretty polish and one I know I’ll be reviewing when I’m back from my holiday. I might even wear this whilst I’m on holiday!

This was another item my boyfriend bought for me, but I was going to buy it myself! The reason for his offering to buy this for me is that he really liked it, obviously so much that he was willing to buy it. Can’t moan at that can I? This is an Iron Fist dress and one I had been contemplating buying for a while now. Originally £44.99 and in the sale for £26.99. However when this was put into our basket the price was dropped an extra £10.00 so it only came to £16.99! Bargain or what!? I wore this dress out for New Years Eve and I really did love wearing it. I was really worried that this would be too short for me as it looks really short on the model, but alas this was the perfect length on me. I will definitely be wearing this in the evenings when going out for drinks and for the odd meal. I really love this dress and I can’t wait to wear it again.

This is the last sale item I picked up, and whilst I’m sure I’ll buy more before I go away I just wanted to save one of my favourite bargains until last. I wanted to get myself some new shoes for holiday and whilst I was after a pair of grunge style sandals or some flat shoes I ended up getting these. Whilst in Cheltenham I had a nose in Schuh at what they might have on in the sale and I spotted these Star Wars Vans slip on trainers in the sale. I had my eye on these a few months back but forgot about them until I ventured back into the shop. These were originally £50, down to £29.99! I left it to get some lunch and came back to try them on. Due to my feet being a size 7 and Vans not going over a size 6 in women’s shoes, there was an issue… Although these shoes are for both men and women the men’s ones weren’t in the sale. The women in the store were lovely though and sympathised with my problem so offered to knock the men’s size 7 down to £29.99, which I thought was really nice of them. So after more thinking about it I picked these up! My aunt gave me £20.00 for Christmas so I decided to use that on these shoes, so all I had to pay was £9.99! I can see these being worn a lot over the summer season this year as they’re my new summer trainers. I’m taking them on holiday with me to wear in the day if it isn’t too warm and during the evenings. I wouldn’t say I’m the largest Star Wars fan, but I do really like it! When episode one came out my brother tried to get me into Star Wars as much as possible and he succeeded pretty well. My favourite character is R2D2 and I’m so gutted they didn’t make a pair of Vans with him on them… There is still hope for the future!

So that was my Boxing Day sales haul!

Did you go sales shopping? If so, what did you pick up? Let me know in the comments down below.

Until next time, take care all and I hope you’ve had a lovely weekend.
