30th Birthday Wish List

It is officially my birthday in 2 days time and I will be turning the the big three-O… Which semi depresses me and it sort of doesn’t at the same time. Ageing is going to happen and that’s just something I need to deal with now, as well as in the future.

I thought it would be worth sharing with you guys (as I always do) what I have on my wish list this month, which happens to include what I would like for my birthday… But if I don’t – I would probably just buy it myself. ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Pandora Blue Sparkling Crown Solitaire Ring (link)

A few Christmas/birthday’s ago my mom bought me a gorgeous Pandora ring – the one with the red heart (you can see it here) and I still love it to this day! I wear it pretty much all the time and it makes me think of my mom all the time. I have since spied a few other Pandora rings I like the look of, but never enough to take the plunge to ask for them as gifts or buy them myself… Until now! I saw this ring before Halloween whilst out shopping with a friends and I fell in love! It’s a gorgeous blue stone and it really stands out. I’m hoping to get to wear alongside my red heart ring, either above or below, whichever way looks best! I have a feeling Dane has bought me this… But we shall see! ๐Ÿ˜›

  • Nintendo Tokyo Animal Crossing Smart Phone Ring (no link)

When I first bought my iPhone XR I bought a PopSocket to use when holding the phone. For the short time that I used it, it really did benefit me but at the same time it taught me that I should be holding my phone better. Since then I have missed having something on the back of my phone to hold onto, especially if I’m out and about and have my hands full. I saw these kawaii smart phone rings for sale in the Nintendo Tokyo store and I just have to have them! I plan to pick up both when I visit the store in Japan (as well as so much more Animal Crossing merch!) so that I can use them both on different cases. I find the backing doesn’t stick very well with things like this, so I may need to get the superglue out…

  • Hell Bunny Ricci Dress in Black or Red (link)

I actually saw these dresses in EMP’s catalogue that I was given by Dane’s parents on Boxing Day to take home with me… They’ve clearly bought meย something from EMP for my birthday… ANYWAY! I love dresses of this style as they shout out to me so much and I especially love to wear them with a thick warm coat in the winter and my Dr Martens boots. In the summer, with a cardigan and my flats. I think I love the red one most as it’s one of my favourite colours to wear. I would have loved to pick this up for my birthday, but I think at this point (my birthday is in 2 days) it’s a little too late now, unless I find it in store somewhere before then.

  • Smoko Pearl Boba Tea Light (link)

Dane bought me the Little Bao Dumpling Light from Firebox/Smoko for Christmas and I LOVE it so much! For a battery operated light, it’s really bright and turns itself off after a certain amount of time. I love the Boba Tea Light as I’m a massive bubble tea drinker so would love to add this one to my collection as well. The thing I love about this the most is the fact when you move the light around, the boba in the bottom of the light move around. How cool is that? ๐Ÿ˜€

  • Nintendo Tokyo Animal Crossing Pencil Case (link)

I love Animal Crossing so damn much and when I saw this for sale on the Something Japanese website, I really wanted to order it! That being said, I know I can just wait until my trip to Japan to pick this up myself if I still want it. I don’t NEED a new pencil case as I still have the one I owned back when I was at school and it’s still doing it’s job today of keeping my pens safe.

So (as boring as they were…) that is my 30th birthday wish list post! Wow it’s crazy to think that in 2 days time I’ll be turning 30… I’ll now have to say I’m in my early thirties when talking to people and tick the 30-35 box when signing up for things. ๐Ÿ˜› If I still get ID’d though, I’ll be very happy!

Next week I plan to share with you guys what I received for my 30th birthday! I know I didn’t do this for Christmas 2019 but this was due to personal reasons. ๐Ÿ™‚

What do you guys have on your wish lists for this month? Make sure to let me know down in the comments!

Until next time, take care all and I hope you’re having a lovely weekend.

Christmas 2019 Wish List

Last Christmas I decided to do a wish list post about what I wanted as a teenager for Christmas in comparison to what I wanted now. I would love to do something like this now, but I honestly don’t think I can top what I did last year. That post was perfect and I loved it so much!

This year when I’ve been asked what I’d like for Christmas, it’s been kinda hard to decide… With our trip coming up soon I’m trying to save a lot of money for that and when it comes down to having anything for myself, I honestly can’t think of anything I want… So this year has been tough.

Not just for myself, but I’ve struggled to buy Dane’s Christmas presents this year! I wanted to make sure he had loads of exciting things to open, that he wouldn’t even think of buying himself, so I hope he loves what he’s been gifted with! ๐Ÿ˜€

Anyhoo, my list is very geeky and Japan heavy! ๐Ÿ˜›

  • Nintendo Switch Taiko no Tatsujin.

This is a game I have wanted for quite a while now and I’m pretty sure it’s one I have mentioned on my blog from time to time on wish list posts. I am putting it on here for Christmas as I STILL want it! This is a game I have tried the demo of and loved, it was fun and I could see myself playing it both on my Switch Lite as well as on Dane’s Switch console with the drum attachment. I’m not crazily after it, but it would be nice to have. Sadly, it isn’t cheap and whenever I found it cheap I just couldn’t justify it. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

  • Nintendo Switch Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires’ Conspiracy.

This is a game I discovered not long after I bought my Switch Lite back at the start of November and it’s one I am intrigued by. I do enjoy puzzles games and the Layton games are always a series that has intrigued me, but one I just never invested in… I have a feeling this is a gift I will be receiving for Christmas, which will be really nice! I always love getting games for Christmas as it’s sort of a tradition. My parents or brother(s) would always buy me a game for my console of choice at the time, so I always loved spending Christmas and Boxing Day playing them.

  • Juniper: The Happiest Fox 2020 Wall Calendar.

Dane always buys me a calendar for the year ahead, no ifs or buts. It’s definitely a tradition we have now and it’s one I love! For a while he always bought me a Simon’s Cat calendar, then for a time it was Pusheen and now we have settled onto Juniper! I love foxes and Juniper is a fox I especially love, alongside her brother Fig, who is in this calendar! I can’t wait to write loads of stuff on it already of everything we have coming up during 2020.

  • PlayStation 4 Persona 3 and 5 Endless Night Collection.

This isn’t a gift I’m SUPER psyched about having, but due to my love of the Persona series, it is a game I would enjoy having to play at home! It includes both the Persona 3 and Persona 5 dance games on the PS4, as well as a download code for the Persona 4 dance game for PS4 too! I actually already own this on the PS Vita, but having it on the PS4 would be so much better.

  • Nichijou Manga Volume 9 and 10.

This is a manga series that now seems to have finished on volume 10. I only need 9 and 10 to finish my series for Nichijou, which is a manga (and anime series) that I love! This is a manga series that Dane has bought me since we got together and I do love receiving these from him each Christmas. I doubt very much I will get them this year, but even so in 2020 I will definitely pick these up for myself.

  • Nendoroid Figures:
  • Star Wars Han Solo
  • Star Wars Luke Skywalker
  • Star Wars Rey
  • Star Wars BB-8
  • Star Wars Princess Leia

I always ask for a Nendoroid figure (or two) during Christmas and my birthday, but this year I REALLY struggled! I’ve either pre-ordered or own the Persona 5 series and some I want are hard to find now. I do hope I get one, maybe even two of the Star Wars Nendoroid figures. Apparently I do have a Nendoroid figure for Christmas… But I can’t for the life of me think which one it could be!

I think that’s about it for my Christmas wish list this year! I feel like I’ve been rather boring, but to be honest I have been a bit stumped on what I would like for Christmas with my trip to Japan looming.

I’ve also struggled to buy for people this year for so many reasons! It’s really sucked to be honest. xD

What do you have on your Christmas lists this year? Jesty ideas are welcome too (aka new car, a pet etc).

Until next time, Merry Christmas all and I hope you have a lovely day whatever you do. ๐Ÿ™‚

YY Kawaii Sakura Itabag – Review*

My Japan trip is fast approaching and if there is something I want for my trip it’s an ita bag, so I can show off all my gorgeous enamel pins! I want one in general to be fair, but I feel like in Japan I can really show off all of my loves in one place.

YY Kawaii was lovely enough to gift me her Sakura Itabag recently and I’ve been so excited to share it with you guys! I wanted to make sure all the photos were perfect, as well as all the different pins I popped inside the bag too.

I wanted to make sure I got enough photos so I can do a full review for you guys! Ita bags are becoming more and more popular these days, especially unique designs. I feel like the sakura one by YY Kawaii is one of those unique designs out there right now, for a decent price.

I honestly love this bag and not only have I really enjoyed using it over the weekends, but I have also loved all the compliments, comments and questions it has received too!

Without further ado, let’s get on with the review, as well as allllllll the photos! ๐Ÿ˜€

This was a gifted item for promotional and reviewing purposes, so all views on this post are entirely my own.

The first thing I noticed when I opened this bag from the packing is the beautiful pastel pink colour, as well as the sakura cut out shape on the front of the bag. To me ita bags are kawaii and cute, so the pink colour was the perfect choice for YY Kawaii’s ita bag design.

The bag has gold hardware on both of the zips, as well as the loops for the shoulder straps and the clasps and buckle on the strap itself. Although I’m more of a fan of silver hardware, the gold definitely compliments the pink more.

The one thing I love about this ita bag the most is that you have the choice between wearing it as either a shoulder bag, or a bumbag, which is so handy if you want this bag for travelling with!

To wear it as a bumbag there is a strap you feed through the back of the bag, which is really good! It feels comfortable when you wear the bag on your hip. To do up the bumbag strap you use the buckle, which is really quick and easy to do and undo! You can also adjust the strap for the bumbag to your fitting, It’s really easy to adjust and doesn’t take long.

Personally my only issue with this being worn as a bumbag is the size of it, it’s a little on the larger side for me and I’m unsure if I would feel comfortable using it due to this. Maybe on a night out with friends I could get away with it, but whilst I’m in Japan I don’t think I’ll use it this way.

However, I will definitely use the strap to make it a shoulder bag! If you want to wear this as a shoulder bag you just need to simply clip the strap onto both sides of the bag, via the loops and you have your bag ready to wear! I really love the way it sits and feels on my side and it’s perfect for quickly grabbing anything out of, as it sits at the right height for me. You can of course change the length of the strap, which is handy and I like that it’s with a buckle.

The thing I like the most about he strap being a buckle is how (if you wanted to) you could put some pins in the holes where the strap hasn’t been adjusted to. I’m tempted to do this and use my lock backs so that I don’t have to worry about losing any of my enamel pins whilst travelling around.

As I’ve mentioned at the start of this post, I actually plan to take this bag with me to Japan so having both of these options will be great depending what we plan to do each day!

There are two compartments on the bag, one is for you to keep all your goodies in and one is where you keep your pins. I’ll talk about the latter first.

The front compartment of the bag is a flap where you keep all your pins for your ita bag. Inside this compartment is a round padded “pin cushion” which you stick all your pins onto. The cushion is REALLY padded, which I like! Due to how thick it is the pins will never poke out of the back. This also means that it’s really quick to change enamel pins around as all you need to do is push them onto the padding and you’re done!

With this it means if you’re travelling and want to show off more and different enamel pins in your ita bag on different days, you can! Say if you were going on holiday like myself, or travelling to a convention for a weekend, you could take plenty of enamel pins, charms, key chains, etc and always be able to customise your ita bag quickly! This is definitely my favourite thing about the Sakura Ita bag by YY Kawaii.

The back compartment of the bag is really roomy for the size and I really do like this. It’s big enough to keep your essential items in like your phone, small wallet or purse, keys, Passport is travelling etc. There is also a little pocket for you to keep some items in, such as cards, money, etc. It sadly isn’t big enough for a phone, which would have come in handy but I’m never all that fussed about phone pockets in bags anyway.

Going back to the gold hardware on the bag, the two zips for the compartments on the bag both have gold hearts hanging from the zip area, which I think is a really cute addition to the bag. It also makes it a little easier to open and close the bag as you have the chunky heart to grab onto.

For me the bag is a good size if you don’t want to carry too much. I’m terrible if I have a massive bag, as I feel I need to fill it in order to benefit from the space available. It’s perfect if you want to take it out for a night out with friends or a date, if you just want to carry light for a trip out for the day and especially great to grab if you’re popping out to run some errands. I love using this bag whenever I’m going out with friends up town as I ALWAYS get complimented on it, especially when I go into geeky shops! I am always asked where it’s from, as well as where the enamel pins are from inside the bag.

Being able to show off some of my favourite enamel pins makes me so happy and it’s something I have wanted to do since I started collecting enamel pins last year. Personally this bag is perfect for a first ita bag for me due to the size, the colour and the fact it can be both a shoulder bag, as well as a bumbag.

I thought I would show off some of the enamel pins I have put inside my bag on the days I have worn it out. The three times I’ve used it so far, I’ve changed the pins! When I was taking the photos of me wearing the bag, I was actually about to pop to the shops to grab some bits and pieces for a games evening later that day! ๐Ÿ˜€

I’m so excited to take it with me to Japan and I can’t wait for all the photo opportunities I can take with it too, especially with all the different pins I can add inside.

You pay a 50% deposit of ยฃ24.50 for the bag but overall the price for the bag costs ยฃ49 and can be ordered from the website here.

What do you think of the Sakura Itabag by YY Kawaii? I honestly love it so much! It makes a real change for me to wear pink. ๐Ÿ™‚ Let me know what you think of the bag in the comments down below.

Until next time, take care all and I hope you’ve had a lovely weekend!

October Wish List ’19

First of all, I REALLY struggled with this months wish list post. I feel like deep down there’s loads of shit I want but I just can’t think of it all to add to this months wish list.

I’ve dug as deep as I can possibly go and sadly this is the best I could come up with. Some of this stuff I do really want, but not that much that I have the urge to pick it up anytime soon. If anything, some of these items I’d actually like to receive as gifts for Christmas or birthday.

Alas, I needed to get my monthly post together… After all, it’s one of my favourites to write and put together! I love showing off all the crap I don’t need but want to buy. ๐Ÿ˜›

  • Snotgirl Volume 3 (link)

This is in fact something I’ve already pre-ordered! I love the Snotgirl comic series and I’ve waited about a year for the third volume to come out now. Crazy, right? Snotgirl is about a beauty blogger/influencer who looks gorgeous and perfect on the outside, but behind closed doors she suffers terrible allergies… Hence the name of the comic series. There’s some unexpected twists and turns however throughout the comic book series (which I won’t mention in case of spoilers) but honestly, as a blogger I love this series and recommend any bloggers out there to pick it up! ๐Ÿ˜€ I have to be honest though, the main character pisses me off, she’s such a bitch haha!

  • Hell Bunny Vixey Skirt (link)

I remember seeing a Hell Bunny advert on my Instagram and the dress the girl had on in the advert was gorgeous! I went onto the website in search of it… I had no luck! However, I did discover that Hell Bunny have a gorgeous new print out called “Vixey” which is mustard with foxes on! SOOOOO ME! They have a dress, as well and although I would love this, I do keep saying lately how I would like some more skirts in my wardrobe. I only have one and this alone is hardly worn… No reason why! I would like some more to add to my wardrobe, both for work and for personal. I’d love to team this up with a comfortable black jumper like the model is wearing, shirts and more! I might pick this up soon… It’d be nice to wear to Japan too with my Docs.

  • Luigi’s Mansion 3 on Nintendo Switch (link)

I would like this game (I even mentioned it last month on a post about games I’m excited for!) but I don’t know if I want itย yet. It’s not a game I’m rushing out to buy, but I’d purely want to pick it up to play with Dane over the Halloween season and especially if we spend Halloween at home. It would just be fun to play, you know? As I’m off around the time of Halloween it would be nice to stay in for the evening and play this… I’ll see how I feel!

  • Stuffed Fables – An Adventure Book Game (link)

This isn’t something I plan to buy anytime soon and if anything it’s a board game I would much rather receive as a Christmas or birthday present. I’ve eyed this game up since 2018, but only of late have I really invested into it, learning how to play and even looking at heading to Dicebox to give it a go with Dane for a date evening. FYI I just went onto the website so I could link here on my blog and I didn’t realise that there’s a photo of me, Dane and Amy from Writing into the Ether there! How cool eh?! That aside, I do want this game, but considering its hefty price tag I want to make sure I like it first before buying…

  • Pokemon Center London – ALL THE GOODIES!

I almost forgot about going to the Pokemon Centre in London when it opens. Holy shit, HOW DARE I!!! Yeah I plan to potentially pick up some goodies from here, but it all depends. If I can pick up items that I know are available in Japan, I’ll buy them here to save on bringing/sending them back during out holiday. If there are any exclusive items that I know will only be available during the pop up shop in London, Iย may pick those up too. I won’t be picking up plushies, more stationary and household items. The Pokemon Centre are great for bringing out cookie tins/jars and I’ve only ever purchased (well gifted!) one from there, which I still love to this day. I’ll be keeping my eyes peeled for things like this. As of yet, no photos have leaked of any goods that will be for sale… Watch my blog though as I may post about it before I go!

That’s all the goodies I can think of sadly in regards to items I want to purchase this month. Honestly, I really struggled this month to come up with things for this list, but alas there areย some things here!

What item(s) do you have on your wish lists this month? Make sure to let me know in the comments, including if you’re excited for the Pokemon Centre in London! Are you planning to go?

Until next time, take care all and I hope you’re ready for the weekend!

September Wish List ’19

It is officially September and I am already loving this month. I already feel like I have some awesome stuff planned, which I’m excited about. I’ll be attending a couple of blog events, which Dane will be at as my plus one. I love going to blog events with Dane. I feel like we can really have a date afternoon/evening together.

As well as that we also have loads planned with friends from gaming days to Dungeons & Dragons.

However, it is that time again guys where I show off to you the things I want to buy this month. I feel like we are already into the second week of September… I blame the bank holiday myself. I feel like the August bank holiday always comes up at the last week of the month, not the week before last. Is that just me?

Anyway, I feel like I’ve wanted loads of stuff this month, but at the same time I haven’t due to saving money. Saving money is something I am trying so hard to do as Japan IS looming! I want as much spending monies for there as possible without stressing about not having any/not having a good time. To be fair, I’ve already treated myself to a few things this month, but sod it! I’ve already earned a little treat… Or two! ๐Ÿ˜›

  • Pandora Boo the Ghost Charm (link)

I swear the recent drop from Pandora was AMAZING! I haven’t seen a collection for years where I fell in love with most of what they were offering and you know what? I wasn’t the only person either. I’ve fallen in love with two charms in particular – the You Are Magic Dragon Dangle Charm (which I bought over the weekend) and the one I will be talking about on this post. Years ago, Pandora came out with a ghost charm, which I adored but never bought. It just never happened and sadly that charm is LONG GONE now! To be fair, I don’t regret never getting the little ghost charm now, because this Boo the Ghost one is so much better. It’s such a cute chubby ghost and I honestly need him in my life. I’m not going to lie, I’ll probably end up buying this when I’m paid next! What do you think of this little cutie?

  • Loungefly Pokemon Eevee Brown Embossed Cross-Body (link)

I actually own the matching wallet (which you can see here) for this Loungefly Eevee bag, which I adore and have no regrets buying! However, I now REALLY want the bag to match. I have done for years to be honest with you so now that Bazaar Bazaar have now begun to stock it, I think eventually I’ll need to pick it up! My only issue with the bag itself is it’s tiny for the money and it doesn’t close with a zip, just a magnetic button which I dislike. I would want to stitch in a zip so that I had some extra “security” on the bag itself. This being said, this bag would be perfect for evenings out, as well as my holiday in Japan! Maybe I will pick this up if it’s still available at the end of the month. ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Nendoroid Persona 5 Yusuke Kitagawa: Phantom Thief Ver. (link)

This is a Nendoroid figure I pre-ordered MONTHS ago through YY Kawaii! I think I was quite late to pre-ordering, but either way I’m so excited for him to arrive now. As regular (and possibly new) readers will know, I LOVE Persona 5 so when they announced each and every single Phantom Thief, I KNEW I had to have them all in my life. As soon as one is revealed and YY Kawaii has one up for pre-order, I make sure to get my order in straight away. Eventually I hope to show off all my Persona 5 Nendoroid babies, but until I get them all, this won’t be happening. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

  • Pokรฉmon Detective Pikachu Steelbook (link)

I am SO excited for this film to come out in less than a few weeks now! I remember going to see it at the cinema the day it came out and how excited I was. I think I was a bit TOO excited, but I don’t care. Pokemon and Ryan Reynolds in the same franchise? I’ve not heard something so great since Ryan Reynolds was confirmed for Deadpool. That was music to my ears! ๐Ÿ˜› I already have this pre-ordered, so the day it comes out I’ll be looking forward to putting it on, having some yummy food and watching it again with Dane, cuddled on the sofa. I’ll be making a real couples evening with it.

  • Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid: Elma’s Office Lady Diary Vol. 2 Manga (link)

This is a manga series I love so much and I can’t get enough of it and same can be said for the anime too! I have only just started reading the Elma’s Office series and I love it so much already. Elma is my favourite character from Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid so when they announced she was getting her own manga series, I was so happy! Of course Kanna received her own series, she blew up in popularity after the anime aired. I’ve ordered this volume now, but let me tell you, it wasn’t easy to obtain. I don’t know what it is but Wordery (who are my go to place for cheap manga) didn’t have this in stock and Amazon went from saying 1-4 weeks to 1-2 months! I’ve ordered it through another book retailer similar to Wordery, which is good.

  • The Gel Bottle Blue Hawaiian Gel Polish (link)

I don’t know what it is, but I really want to start wearing gel nails again. Last summer I bought everything you need to start creating your own gel nails at home and I really loved it… However, the cheap polish I picked up from Amazon is just shite. I recently painted both mine and my mom’s nails and within 2 days they were peeling off for us both. If I’m going to paint my nails with gel myself at home, I would at least link a gel that is GOING to last on my nails and not peel off within a few days… Whilst I want to check out the brand Candy Coat, I also want to check out The Gel Bottle too, as I’ve heard nothing but good things about them. When I had a nose on their website, the first colour I saw on the product list was this gorgeous blue mermaid shade called Blue Hawaiian. It’s gorgeous and I’d definitely love to give it a go myself with this polish. I need to really look into it, as I would like my nails to be done with gel polish for my holiday to Japan. ๐Ÿ™‚

So those are all my items from my wish list this month! I semi struggled to get stuff on the list this month. Sometimes I go through phases of I either really want loads of random shit, or hardly anything at all. That is one of those months… A lot of stuff I wanted from last month, I’d still like this month, but of course I’m not going to re-add stuff to my wish list, because that would be boring! ๐Ÿ˜›

What items do you guys have on your wish lists this month? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below!

Until next time, I hope you’re all having a great week so far – the weekend is so close! ๐Ÿ˜€

2019 Pokemon Collection Holiday Night Ichiban Kuji – YY Kawaii

I’m so excited to write this post today because I just want to show you guys how damn cute this collection is and was and why I’m so happy to have my hands on it!

I’ve wanted to take part in an ichiban kuji from Japan for the longest time, but I’ve always been so anxious to in case I paid loads for items and won the most basic of things. However, the Holiday Night collection from Pokemon was too damn cute to pass up and I have ZERO REGRETS!

I’ll not only be showing off items I bought/won but I’ll also be talking about what ichiban kujis are, how they work and even which ones YY Kawaii is selling at the moment, so if you fancy giving one a go yourself, you can!

I hope you enjoy this post today, I thought I would do something kawaii and cute, as I feel like I haven’t done that for ages. ๐Ÿ™‚

Image result for pokemon collection holiday night

Image taken from sn.bpnavi.jp

I mean for a start, look how damn cute the promotional image is for the kuji!

First of all an ichiban kuji is a Japanese lottery that to the British can be related to a tombola you would get at a fรชte in the summertime. You win a prize every time but the prize depends on which letter you get on the ticket! All prizes have a letter assigned to them with A, B, C and D being the rarer and harder to get prizes and letters E, F and G being easier to obtain. Most kujis will also come with a “last one” prize, which you can win if you get the “last one” ticket. These are extremely rare!

I thought I would pop YY Kawaii’s video above as she explains in full what ichiban kujis are in more detail than I do and considering that’s who I purchased my kuji from, why not! ๐Ÿ˜€ Go and give her some love and make sure to mention me. ^_^

So when YY Kawaii advertised that she would be selling this kuji, I KNEW I had to take part! Tickets were priced at ยฃ11 each or 2 for ยฃ20.50. I loved everything the kuji had on offer so what did I have to lose?

I’ll link here what the kuji had on offer, as I don’t want to use the promotional photos if I can help it! When viewing the prizes though I had a few things in mind that I wanted to win, including the B prize which is a vanity case and prize D which is the travel set. I loved the other prizes too, but those stood out to me the most.

The prizes overall included three plushies (including the last one), vanity case, travel set, illustrated towels, zipper bags and plastic containers.

I bought two tickets and won two amazing prizes, BUT I also purchased one of the items that YY Kawaii had for sale.

I remember watching the live Instagram video of YY Kawaii revealing who had won what and I couldn’t believe it when I heard I had won the A prize, which is a Pikachu plushie, as well an illustrated towel!

I couldn’t believe it and was so excited when my goodies arrived in the post a few days later.

The Pikachu plushie is quite big to be honest and very sturdy, yet squish-able for cuddles. I’ve been cuddling this whilst sat at my gaming table as I write this post which is super comfortable. If it was acceptable I would totally take this to work to rest against whilst doing work.

This has been sitting on our bed as I honestly don’t know where else to keep it right now! I might just keep it for downstairs to cuddle against whenever I’m playing games or doing blog work. I especially love the pastel colours as it’s really relaxed and nothing too “obnoxious”, especially for the bedroom.

The second item I won was an illustrated towel, which is one of the more popular items you can win. I’m happy with winning this (even though I know many get disappointed with these sort of wins) as I love using the towels as face cloths/flannels. I wish I could have bagged the purple design, as it has a super cute sleeping Dragonite design on. If I can buy this design in the future, I will!

Then I mentioned I picked up one of the items from YY Kawaii, as I didn’t win it. This is the travel set. I KNEW I needed this in my life and I especially wanted it for my holiday to Japan, as well as for travelling anywhere to be fair.

It comes in a really cute box (which I don’t want to throw away!) and is a clear purple bag with images from the promotional photos on. You can see where the Pokemon are having a sleepover with the sat around on a rug reading books, sleeping, cuddling cushions and more. It also comes with three travel bottles with the 1st gen starter Pokemon on them. These are a very generous size too so my 2 weeks of supply of goods I would need to take with me would last for ages in these.

So that’s all the goodies I won and bought from the Pokemon Collection Holiday Night kuji through YY Kawaii!

Do I have any regrets with getting this kuji? If anything, I regret not buying more tickets. ๐Ÿ˜› I also wish I could get the vanity case cheaper than it’s selling for right now, as this would be perfect to house stuff in for travelling, as well as in general. I’ll be keeping my eyes peeled for it in the future.

If you like the sound of ichiban kujis and want to have a go yourself, then please make sure to go and check out YY Kawaii’s Instagram pages YY Kawaii and YY Kawaii Merch to see what she has on offer and if you don’t see a kuji you’re interested in BUT are aware of, you can always drop her a message to enquire about it. Make sure to let her know I sent you! ๐Ÿ˜€

YY Kawaii also has some of the prizes for sale from this kuji, so make sure to go and check out her Instagram pages for those too! Again, make sure to let her know I sent you! ๐Ÿ˜€

Have you ever divulged into ichiban kujis from Japan? If so which one(s) have you taken part in? If you’ve never had a go yourself, do you think you’ll try your luck at a kuji? Make sure to let me know in the comments below!

OH P.S. I took all the photos in this post on my new camera! What do you guys think? I know they aren’t the best, but I’m still getting used to it. ๐Ÿ˜›

Until next time, take care all and I hope you’re having a lovely weekend. ๐Ÿ™‚

August Wish List ’19

I really need to save. It’s so hard at the moment considering I’ve just had to fork out ยฃ250 for a part of my car to be replaced and erm… I kinda bought myself a new camera ready for Japan. Honestly I’m going to save up for Japan. I am. I NEED to otherwise I’ll be going to Japan with no sodding money to spend, or eat with. I have 5 months to go until we leave for the holiday and saving needs to happen NOW.

In all honesty though? I already really want at least 2 items on this wish list for work, as well as in general.

I will resist the urge and be good… I need to. ๐Ÿ˜›

Enough of me wallowing in poor pity, on with the wish list for August.

  • Aggretsuko Day/Night Pyjamas (link)

If there is one thing I love buying (and it’s definitely a weakness of mine!) it’s pyjamas and it’s purely because I live in them mostly when I’m at home. Providing I don’t have plans, as soon as I get home from work I’ll get my pyjamas on and get comfortable. These will be perfect for during the summer months, as at the moment I am just purely living in baggy t-shirts and night shirts. EMP has a pretty awesome Aggretsuko line up at the moment, including a couple of hoodies, pyjama bottoms and even some fake Converse.

  • Animal Crossing K.K. Slider Sticker by ncdoggGraphics (link)

I LOVE Animal Crossing and I am still stoked about the new one coming out on the Switch in March 2020. I love playing Pocket Camp daily and would love to grab some sort of Animal Crossing merch for when I’m in Japan. I love the “Yo” design of K.K. Slider and although I’ve added it onto this post as a sticker, I would rather love the hoodie or sweater design as I can only imagine it would so comfortable to wear around the house, as well as out and about when running errands.

  • Pokemon Holiday Night Kuji Travelling Pouch with Bottles (link)

This is something I’ve had my eye on getting (and in one case winning) since I saw it was announced a couple of months back. I took part in this kuji through YY Kawaii (yykawaiimerch over on Instagram). I’ll be talking about the prizes I won soon, as well as this travelling pouch, which arrived yesterday. Yes, I bought it because I want it for my holiday to Japan, as well as travelling in general. This is a good sized pouch and comes with three generous sized bottles that you can fill with your beauty essentials. I’m already planning what product I’m going to pop in there for travelling with. As I said, I’ll be writing a post all about these goods soon, as well as a little bit of information about kujis, how they work and which amazing ones YY Kawaii has coming up soon!

  • Aggretsuko Pencils (link)

I have discovered with my job that I love jotting down notes using pencil… I don’t know why, but I just have! I love Aggretsuko and since season 2 has come onto Netflix (also, they just announced season 3. Who else is excited?!) so I feel merchandise for this is becoming more and more likely everywhere. I don’t need any stationary anytime soon though to be honest. These would just be cool to have whenever I go into meetings and to perk my desk up a little. At the moment I’m using Pusheen pencils… I can’t complain. ๐Ÿ˜›

  • Cath Kidston Stanley Lamp (link)

This isn’t going to be something I buy anytime soon due to the price, but it’s a lamp I will be keeping a close eye on, as I would love it to be a part of my home. I don’t quite know where it would go… Potentially by the sofa in our living room… It’s so damn cute and I love it! I can only assume Stanley is the dog but it’s so gorgeous and you can see a lot of precision went into the design, as it’s just perfect. This is something I’ll keep my eye on during the sales.

  • Killstar Amaya Skater Dress (link)

I love a good skater dress, especially one from Killstar. This is from one of their new collections, which represents Japanese school style fashions and manga/anime designs too. This is something I’d love to be able to wear for work but due to the style of the dress (mostly the back with the hanging part) I doubt that would be doable… At least not during the warmer months when I don’t need to wear a cardigan, jumper or my work fleece. I’ll be keeping my eyes on it though, this is something I’ll definitely be picking up in the future.

  • Boohoo Cable Boyfriend Button Up Cardigan (link)

I know it’s summer and we in the UK are currently rocking the warm and muggy weather but I am already thinking ahead to the months when the colder weather will be back and I’ll be wanting to snuggle up into something during my shifts at work. My friend Amy (Writing into the Ether) rocks a gorgeous mustard cardigan and she’s inspired me get myself a mustard cardigan, after years of never bothering. I love my burgundy and mustard colours for autumn and winter, and whilst I own loads of mustard jumpers, I haven’t yet picked up a mustard cardigan. I’ve found this one from Boohoo, which I’m going to keep my eye on. I need to venture around more places first, including charity shops. I know what I’m looking for, super soft and baggy so I can be snuggled and cosy!

So those are the items on my wish list for August! I always worry my wish lists are boring, but you guys never seem to say anything other than the complete opposite!

What items do you guys have on your wish lists this month? Make sure to let me know! Hey, let me know which items you’ve picked up this month too!

Until next time, take care all and I hope you’re having a good week so far.

July Wish List ’19

Where did June go? I felt like it was only yesterday that I was preparing for a nice week off with Dane and then BAM HELLO IT’S JULY! Honestly though, how shite was June weather wise? It was well and truly awful to be fair and I’m glad we’re getting some nice sunshine right now. ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m currently sat at my dining table with a gorgeous cup of Ed’s Coffee House caramel coffee and I’m planning on writing as much as I can before I need to head out later for a D&D session! This months wish list was pretty hard to be honest with you as I’m trying to be good right now due to Japan coming up, (I know it’s 5/6 months away but it will be here before we know it!) which is boring but meh.

Anyhoo – I hope your enjoy this months haul! I feel like there’s so much Japanese inspired stuff there. ๐Ÿ˜›

  • Vans x Lazy Oaf Old Skool Platform (No longer available)

I know these are limited edition and no longer available (unless you pay an absolute fucking fortune!) but I still want them. I regret not buying them so damn much when they came out last year. Like stupidly regret it. Recently I noticed someone was selling my size on eBay at a decent price. They looked legit and when the seller offered to knock ยฃ10 off – I bought them straight away. Over a week later I was chasing the seller for my shoes and ended up getting a refund. I was so pissed off… I really wanted the shoes, especially for such a bargain. I’m still on the hunt for these and if you happen to find any in a size 7 for a decent price (no more than ยฃ60 with postage!) please let me know! ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Elfen Lied Omnibus Volume 1 (link)

I cannot tell you how happy I was when I recently discovered that this manga was coming out in English. Honestly my younger 16 year old self would have been over the moon with this coming out. Basically this manga has been running in Japan since 2002 – which is nearly 20 years ago now since it first came out. This was the first manga I read, as well as the first anime I watched. Elfen Lied is pretty much what got me into the things I am today, which is amazing to be honest with you so it really does mean the world to me to finally see the manga in English.

Now you’re probably wondering, “Okay hang on Nat! You said you’ve read the manga… But it’s only just come out in English? How did you read it then?” The magic of translation my friends! ๐Ÿ˜› Someone translated it years ago online so I remember when I bought my first laptop 10 years ago (FUCK I FEEL OLD!) I found the manga on a PDF reader and basically flicked back and forth over the pages, reading it. ๐Ÿ˜›

It looks like there will be four omnibus volumes overall, which the second one due out in October. I would love to see the anime redone – just like they’ve done withย Fruits Basket recently. I’d still love to see Elfen Lied Nendoroid’s released too. ๐Ÿ˜›

  • Pokemon Holiday Night Collection Ichican Kuji (link)

This is a kuji I’ve decided to do! I’ve never done one before to be perfectly honest with you so this will be a first! It just looks too good to resist having a go on. I’ve regretted not taking part in some of the Animal Crossing kujis in the past and that in itself annoys me. I’ve got this through YY Kawaii on her Instagram merch page (link and link) and the prizes are adorable! There’s a couple of plushies, some holiday travelling essentials, pots and towels. It makes a change seeing some “useful” items in a kuji as opposed to the usual charms, towels and random figures. I really hope I get some good pulls from this!

  • Insert Coin Clothing Persona 4 Teddie Pocket Tee (link)

I’ve already pre-ordered this tee, but I just had to mention it here today as it’s too good not to! ๐Ÿ˜€ I LOVE Persona 5, as my readers all know and I have had a go at Persona 4 Golden (which I am currently stuck on!) which I also really love. I’m reading the Persona 4 manga too, which I actually enjoy more than the game… But this may be due to the fact I’m stuck on it… ๐Ÿ˜› Either way I saw the cute Teddie pocket tee and just knew I had to have it! I recently bought myself an amazing black pair of mom jeans from New Look and I intend to wear them together loads throughout the summer, as well as the rest of the year. ๐Ÿ˜› Of course I would be a fool not to wear this to Japan too.

When this tee arrives – I’ll definitely be doing a post on why I love Insert Coin Clothing’s tees so much! I have this one, as well as their Persona 5 Morgana tee too.

I noticed this mug was going around my Twitter feed about a week or so ago and honestly I have fallen in love with it and I really need it in my life. I really don’t need anymore mugs, but if I didn’t pick this up I would honestly be a fool and regret it until I did. I LOVE Animal Crossing and as an ex barista I also love the coffee theme of the mug. It was always one of my favourite parts of Animal Crossing: New Leaf to daily go and work my shift at The Roost Cafe, as well as sit and drink some pigeon coffee. It looks like the mugs will go on sale on Sarah Dandh’s store on 10th July – so I’ll be making sure to pick one up. ๐Ÿ˜›

Finally we have one of my favourite independent artists out there, who has done it again with her recently Kickstarter campaign! ๐Ÿ˜€ As soon as I saw she was going to be addingย Animal Crossingย designs to the campaign, I put myself down for two pins and it will be both KK Slider and Isabelle who I opt for. I actually already have an Isabelle pin by Ohayou! but it won’t hurt to have another one, will it? I don’t have a KK Slider as of yet and look how damn cute this boi is! I honestly can’t wait to get these already as I’ll wear them together on my jacket(s) as well as potential ita bag in the future. This campaign has now finished, BUT Ohayou! is a good egg and will probably have them for sale in her store anyway. ๐Ÿ˜›

So that’s my wish list for July! Again, I honestly cannot believe we are over halfway through 2019 now. It’s scaring me as not only does it mean I’m getting closer to being 30 but it also means it’s closer to us going to Japan and I am SO nervous for that!

Which items do you have on your wish lists this month? Do you have your eye on any of the items I have too? Make sure to let me know in the comments below! ๐Ÿ˜€

Until next time, take care all and I hope you’re having a lovely week, almost the weekend now, eh?

YY Kawaii – Boats and Capes for your Nendoroid figures*

This is officially my first post where I’m collaborating with YY Kawaii and let me tell you, I’m so damn excited to talk about the goodies she sent me to talk about on my blog. Especially considering they’re Nendoroid related!

I mentioned last month on a blog post how I had become a brand affiliate for YY Kawaii, who are one of my favourite shops to buy all my kawaii and Japanese goodies from.

Image result for yy kawaii decoden phone case

One of YY Kawaii’s many designs. This Yuri On Ice design is adorable!

I remember back in the day when I first discovered YY Kawaii how they used to be a decoden phone case store – where you could approach them to create customised decoden cases and I even bought one myself at one point.

Then when YY Kawaii started to branch into buying and selling goods from Japan I grew even more invested into her store and merchandise page on Instagram. I remember years ago being the person everyone approached whenever they wanted to know a store to buy Pokemon Centre goods from because I was always the person who had them. I always referred them to YY Kawaii without a second thought.

Decoden cases is something that YY Kawaii has now distanced themselves from and have since moved into more of buying and selling kawaii merchandise from Japan, and as a buyer I have always noticed they do the fairest prices around.

Both Pokemon Red and Pokemon Green from YY Kawaii

This includes Nendoroid’s too and is one of my favourite places to go and shop for them because not only do they do them at amazing prices, but they’re able to get so many specials in stock that you can’t get anywhere else in the UK. They also try and pick up discontinued Nendoroid’s too! I recently and finally managed to grab the Pokemon Red Nendoroid, which I have been after for years.

When YY Kawaii suggested for my first post on my blog be Nendoroid related, I jumped at the chance to do it! She sent me some cute little plushie boats and a cape that I can dress my Nendoroid figures in, so kawaii!

Anything that can make any of my Nendoroid figures look cuter in my cabinets is always something I’m happy to do.

Let’s put it this way, YY Kawaii is here to help your Nendoroid figures travel in style, if you know what I mean? ๐Ÿ˜‰

Okay poor (sort of) puns away, lets get the Nendoroid figures I decided to dress up ready!

The items marked with * were gifted for reviewing purposes, so all views here are my own.

I decided to have a play with two of my favourite Nendoroid’s from two of my favourite gaming series. Isabelle from Animal Crossing and Futaba from Persona 5.

Overall YY Kawaii sent me three items to share with my readers today, which I’ll talk about in detail, as well as show how they look on Nendoroid figures too.

The first item I noticed out of the three was the White Cat Easter Cape* which I decided to show off on my Isabelle Nendoroid. These cost ยฃ5.50 each.

This cape is so adorable and definitely shouts Easter vibes, but not TOO heavily.

There are four designs to choose from including the White Cat, White Bunny, Blue Cat and Pink Bunny. They’re all as cute as each other and whilst I don’t associate cats with Easter, it’s still cute all the same.

The cape is really easy to fasten up around your Nendoroid figure(s) with a tiny bit of Velcro that easily sticks together and pulls apart.

The colour scheme of the White Cat cape is blue, yellow and white mostly – which I really liked. There are cute little cat ears, as well as a tail and one ear has a cute bunny hat design on it. Even if this didn’t shout Easter to you, the bunny bonnet definitely should!

When I popped this onto Isabelle I decided to remove her hair so that she could wear the hood. I know she’s not real but she looked SO snuggly in the cape and it reminded me of winter months whenย Iย like to snuggle up warm. It was adorable to see.

I decided to see what it would be like to pop her hair back in place and have the hood down on the cape. It looked just as cute, purely for the fact it’s Isabelle with her little bells hanging from her hair, as well as the little bell hanging from the cape. KAWAII!

I couldn’t have picked a better Nendoroid to show the cape off on, it’s so cute! I may even have to use the pictures I took for a wallpaper on my laptop/gaming PC in the future.

The other two items that I was sent are both the Nendoroid White Bunny Boat* and Nendoroid Green Bunny Boat* which are so damn cute! I had loads of fun using my Futaba Nendoroid in these. These cost ยฃ5.50 each.

Overall there are five colours you can choose from, white and green, black and pink, light pink and dark pink, light green and dark green and light blue and dark blue.

The little boats are so cute with the little bunny ears at the front and the tiny tail at the back. The colour schemes for these are really nice too. They’re a really soft material too, so if you’re a collector who would like to pick these up for your Nendoroid collection (as well as any other figures) then you wouldn’t need to worry about them damaging your figures at all! They’re very gentle and won’t be abrasive.

The sides have little circles on – which I actually think are wheels, making this a car instead of a boat. Either way it’s a cute form of transportation for your sitting Nendoroid figures.

I think the thing I love the most with the boats is the amount of detail put into the actual boat itself. As you’ll see from the above photos there isn’t only a little steering wheel inside but two foot pedals! I love how detailed these are for how small they are.

Prepare for plenty of cute… Futaba sitting down was the perfect Nendoroid for these boat photos! Morgana even got a few shots… ๐Ÿ˜‰

I love how the photos came out, especially the second one where Morgana is in focus! The only difficulty I had with the green and white boat when taking the photos was the ears folding back and hence hitting Futaba in the face. I’m sure overtime the ears will soften up and become more pliable. The light and dark green boat was definitely easier to work with and hence out of all the photos, the photos of the green boat were by far my favourite!

Overall I REALLY love the cape and boats that YY Kawaii sent me! They’re perfect for people who love to take photos of their Nendoroid’s and other figures in realistic situations. The boats would be perfect placed on prop river with a couple of figures “floating” on top. The capes would also look great in a winter setting.

There’s so many possibilities for these and they won’t break the bank to buy either at ยฃ5.50 each! Especially considering I have a special discount code for my readers where you can get two for ยฃ8.00 instead of ยฃ11.00. All you have to do is use the code “YYNATALEE” when you checkout via the website. This quote won’t work on the Instagram page(s).

Also if you’re a massive Persona 5 fan like I am – YY Kawaii sells Nendoroid’s as I mentioned, so if you go to pre-order any Persona 5 Nendoroid figure(s) you pre-order if you mention “There Might Be Coffee” you’ll bag yourself an awesome Persona 5 gift! ๐Ÿ˜€

Don’t forget to check out YY Kawaii’s social media platforms as well as her online store:

Pokemon Centre Lifesize Detective Pikachu Plush

I cannot tell you how excited I have been for this plush to arrive from Japan and YY Kawaii this month. To make matters worse I had to wait almost a week to get this from the Post Office as I missed delivery and was only able to pick it up from the collection office this morning.

Since I got this cutie home I have been in love and so has Dane in all fairness. I just knew I had to share this plush with you all today, especially with how excited I was forย Detective Pikachu hitting cinemas a couple of weeks ago. I even wrote a wish list Wednesday post about it just a few days before the release date and this plush was featured on it.

I knew I wanted to pick something up from whatever the Pokemon Centre decided to bring out forย Detective Pikachuย but I was surprised at the announcement of a lifesize Detective Pikachu, but knew I had to have it.

Just to announce this now, this lifesize plush is now sold out and isn’t easy to pick up now and if it is it’s not cheap! I’ve found it online for over ยฃ100 already and it’s crazy! I paid ยฃ60 for mine (not inc postage on that price) and whilst I know a lot of people will comment how this is a waste of money, or far too much, it is so worth the price to me.

This really is lifesize with a height of 50cm from the tips of the ears, down to the toes. It’s so squishy too, which makes it perfect for cuddling. It’s also really soft to the touch, which makes cuddling it even better in all honesty. Everything about this plush is cuddly, even in the arms, ears and tail. I don’t know if you can tell from the above image but this plush is so soft to the touch. It’s definitely comforting whilst cuddling it due to this. It’s just so incredibly soft and I’m a massive sucker for anything like that as I find it can help my anxiety if it’s ever really bad.

Just all the little details of this plush are gorgeous, the main one I notice being the the cheeks where Pikachu’s red patches are. These aren’t a piece of material stuck on, but instead the colour has been added on with paint, dye, etc. Overall the fact is so sweet and the eyes are huge, which is good considering the size of the plush! I think the only issue I have (when looking close up) is the mouth is wonky… But this isn’t anyone’s fault really.

One thing I really love about this plush is the cute little feet! These are so small they aren’t fully noticeable at first, but when looking closer at the plush, they are adorable. I just had to show them on the post.

Of course it wouldn’t beย Detective Pikachuย without his deerstalker hat! I didn’t think this would be a plush in itself, but it is which is pretty good. I honestly thought it was going to be hollow, but alas it isn’t. It’s attached to the Pikachu plush so you won’t have to worry about it falling off or anything like that too.

Ooo that Pikachu booty! I thought I would show the back of this plush, as it’s equally as good as the front! The Pikachu tail is surprisingly squishy and stays in place really nicely. I was definitely surprised by the tail when I opened the packaging it arrived it and gave it a squish.

The brown sections on Pikachu’s back are separate pieces of material that have been sewn into the plush so not dyed on like the red cheeks.

Of course I had to include some photos of me with my gorgeous new plush! I’m pretty sure you can tell from the photos just how big this plush is compared to myself. It’s bloody big as you can see, but it’s equally amazing.

I’m so in love with my new plush and to be honest with you, for the price I am so glad I bought it! I don’t quite know where it’s going to live in my house yet. It seems to have settled itself on the back of my sofa for now… But I’m sure this isn’t where it will stay.

Have you guys been to seeย Detective Pikachuย yet? If so, what did you think of it?

Have you purchased from YY Kawaii before? I mentioned recently how I have become a brand affiliate for them, which you can read about here. This officially starts on the 1st June, so keep eyes peeled for some exciting posts with them on my blog.

I do apologise for how quiet I’ve been on my blog and social media the past week – I’ve actually been really poorly as well as busy and rest and having social time has been what I’ve wanted.

I’ll try and make sure to keep up with both my blog and social media after the bank holiday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Anyhoo, I hope all of my readers are well and enjoyed this evenings post!

Until next time, take care all and I hope you’re having a lovely bank holiday weekend so far!
